Waiting for Spring

A poem of hoping and waiting for happier times

1. Waiting for Spring

Rippling water

Rustling leaves

Falling raindrops

Dying trees

Autumn has fallen upon this land

And silenced the summer with God's helping hand

The trees they stand both bare and still

The deathly cold comes out to kill

Now I sit and watch the rain

Until the spring returns again
