A Little Morbid

A series of unrelated, super short pieces on death. I'm not always this morbid and creepy, but this is just the way it turned out, I guess.

You've been warned - they are super short.

2. death by murder

Lithe fingers encircled both his wrists and brought them together in a tight grip. The man let out a surprised yelp, resulting in a gloved hand pressing hard over his mouth. Panic rose from his heart in rapid, quaking thuds, and also from his lungs, in the form of sharp gasps as he fought. He twisted and writhed as a rope wound around his hands tightly, forming a figure-eight. He kicked his kidnapper in the knee, and the hand covering his mouth fell away with a grunt. The man sprinted through the deserted car park, yelling for help.

It was quiet.

“Don’t move, or I’ll blow your brains out,” came the cold threat from behind.

“What do you want?”

“Money,” was the calm reply.

“Fine! Fine, I’ll give you money! I’ll give you as much money as you want.” The masked figure strode toward the hoarse-voiced man.

“How much is in your wallet?” he asked, swiftly plucking the leather out from his pocket.

“Six grand,” the man replied, a soft voice through quivering lips. The other man did not wonder why he had so much on his person, and only placed the gun to his head.

“That’ll do,” he said finally, after counting the money himself. He pulled the trigger.

Boom, and he fell to the ground.
