20. Next Generation

“Erica!,” my Mother called. He stopped kissing me, but didn't let me out of the grip of his arms. I turned to see my parents, Valeska, Livano and Adonis. “Arthur, go, you'll regret it later.” I whispered to him, he released me. And he mounted Calenta. His Dragon lowered his level, and Arthur kissed me again, while Kamalia said farewell to her lover. Swiftly, and too quickly, they left. I stroked Kamalia's long face, and kissed her. My Mother came to me, she didn't seemed angry or upset. She put her arm around me, and lead me inside and to the Throne. No-one spoke, we walked slowly, I stumbled my way through this. Then all the Dragonlords sat at their thrones and me and Adonis stood before them. Valeska looked at Naida, and nodded. My Mother nodded back, and Valeska turned back to us. “As you both know, when there are two future Dragonlords, that are male and female and aren't related. They will be wedded-” “No!” I shouted. I don't care if that was rude, but, NO. “I'am not marrying him, he has harassed me before, and I made it very clear to him that it isn't going to happen.” I swung myself around so I didn't have to look at them, I put my hands behind my head and sighed. “Erica, we're not going to force you to get married, but.” I looked back at them, Valeska looked at my Mother. She looked at the ground, and a tear came to her eye. “We agreed that you could at least conceive a child.” I couldn't believe this, I collapsed. On my knees, Adonis came to my side. He looked at me, but I didn't look at him. And he gently whispered, “It's for the best,” I knew secretly he was loving this. I stood up, and walked to the entrance of the temple, the grand stairs. Pearl white, glistening like the moon. I was modern, but I wanted to lose my virginity to the man I love, Arthur. Kamalia came to my side, 'Erica, you must think this over. Your parents want what is best for you children's generation.' I looked into her pale eyes, I mounted the saddle. And she flew into the clear dark sky, the stars twinkled and the moon centred in the middle of the dream like Dragon ride. Then I something familiar, Calenta in the clearing. Kamalia landed gently on the grass, I saw Arthur. He ran to me, I jumped to the ground, and ran to him. He had never looked more handsome than he did in the moonlight. He threw his arms around me, he kissed my neck as he held me close to him. He looked into my eyes, “Erica what's wrong?” Tears ran from my eyes, quicker than any other time in my life. “My parents want me to conceive a child with Adonis,” he wiped the tears away. “I knew something like this would happen, Erica remember before the vampire came, I was going to ask you something.” I nodded, and sniffed back the next river of tears. “What I wanted to ask you was,” he looked at Calenta, who gave him an encouraging look. He sucked in as much oxygen as he could. “Would you do me the honour of becoming my wife. In other words, will you marry me?” He smiled at the idea, as if it was a stupid idea. The salty tears trailed off my eyelashes, and I nodded. “Yes,” he smiled, the widest I’ve ever seen him smile. He kissed me, my arms around his back, but out lips departed. I heard footsteps. I turned to see Adonis and Pyralis, “For goodness sakes.” Arthur groaned, I laughed. I left him, and I went to my father and 'the father of my children.' “Erica, I want to make it quite plain, me and your Mother don't want this.” I was surprised, “You don't?” he shook his head. “No, Valeska just wants to have grandchildren, she pressurized Adonis to find a woman that will have a child with him.” I looked Adonis, he seemed upset. “So Erica, we advise you don't come back, for your own sake,” Adonis said plainly. I breathed heavily, they began to leave. “Wait,” I called after them, I could do this for Adonis, he needed my help. “I'll do it, but just one,” Adonis smiled. He didn't seem happy, he was relieved. “I'll be back in a minute, I just need to tell Arthur.” I turned and walked towards him. “What's going on?” he asked I turned to see Adonis and Pyralis had gone. “I'm sorry,” I said faintly through my tears, “But I’m going to carry his child.” He shook his head, “No, no I love you, please at least carry mine first.” He was pleading, I could see the fear in his eyes. If I go to Adonis, I might fall in love with him. “Please Erica, carry our child first, please. We're in love, you don't know that much about him, you said you'd marry me. That's how much you love me, please.” I looked into my fiancé's eyes, water lined the eye lid which keep him asleep at night. “Alright,” relieved, he didn't smile or change his face's appearance. He kissed me, and swept me off my feet and took me in his arms as he sat on his dragons saddle. 'I will tell Damalis,' Kamalia mind-spoke, she flew to the temple. I stopped kissing him, and climbed onto the saddle properly behind Arthur. Calenta took to the skies, and flew down. Going into a valley, then we came to a little town. With simple houses from Tudor times, people in the streets laughed, children in the fields played. Everything was so simple, but perfect. We landed at the smallest house in the town, and Arthur lead indoors. “So this is where you live?” there wasn't much, just the basics. A sofa, a table and chair and what we would be using, the bed. I suddenly became shaky, but in the non-magical realm. It was illegal for me to have sex, but I’m not in that realm. Arthur came from behind me, and wrapped his arms around me . “I love you,” he repeated himself form earlier. “You said that before,” I pointed out. “I know, I just can't get over the fact that you said that you would marry me.” He lead me to the bed, “Well I did so.” He smiled, and kissed me. He sat on the bed, and I followed. Sitting beside him, he pulled me closer. Close enough we could have been classed as one person. He leant forward and I lied down. He leant in closer, and continued kissing me, I sat up. Trying to pull him down so he could lay on top of me. My arms around his neck, and he started to lean in a bit. Everything was going slow, but good as well. Eventually he laid on top of me, using both of my hands to keep up. I began to unbuttoned his shirt. While I did, he kissed my neck so stormily, this felt like a dream. Losing my virginity to the man I love, I could feel every breath he exhaled. Every shake in his body, and every touch of his skin on mine was a spark of electricity. We were rushing through our relationship, because Valeska. I sat up, but Arthur stayed where he was. “What's wrong?” he asked, he came to my level. His hands on my waist, looking deeply into my eyes. “I don't want to rush into this,” he nodded, and he sat up. And swung his feet around to the floor, I sat next to him, my legs still on the bed. My right arm keeping me from laying down, and my left arm on my waist. He began to button up his shirt, while I looked at him. The way he moved was always gentle, soft and beautiful. I did want a child with him, just after we were married. When he buttoned the last one up, he looked at me. He smiled, looking at my body. I could feel his eyes searching my soul. The door slammed open and there before us was Valeska and Adonis, and four police officers. They looked very different from the modern day 'Bobbies'. Two restrained me, Arthur lashed out his fear and anger on the other two as they tried to restrain him. All the colours in the world turned to white, grey and black. Fighting against them, I knew I wouldn't win, so I gave in, and collapsed on the floor. My eyelids becoming heavier and heavier, they were locked in a black vision.
