"We were talking with the Master regarding the nature of conceptual reality. Psychologically speaking, the human mind, or brain or whatever, is almost incapable of distinguishing between the real and the vividly imagined experience. Sound and film and music and radio. Even these manipulative experiences are received more or less directly and uninterpretive by the mind. They are cataloged and recorded and either acted upon directly, or stored in the memory, or both. Now this process, unless we pay it tremendous attention, begins to separate us from the reality of the now. Am I being clear? For we must allow the reality of the now to just happen, as it happens. Observe and act with clarity. For where there is clarity, there is no choice. And were there is choice, there is misery. But then, why should I speak, since I know nothing?"

I got nothing more to say.
But I hope you do have a nice day.

Hi! So um, I'm currently taking a Game Design class, and just last week I'd finished a game on an engine called Twine. I'd named it You Walk Through the Rain, and it's more just an expressive experience than anything. It's a bit literary and metaphorical, so maybe it would be worthwhile to post it here! I dunno, but if you're curious please feel free to play! And critique is always appreciated, of course.

    mumbled ""Doing Everything You Can""

    1 years agoSvar

I think about this a lot, in regards to stories in general. In my opinion, there is nothing more mortifying than doing everything that is physically possible and more, and then finding that it was all in vain. You feel helpless, guilty, scared, confused, angry, and like a complete idiot. One common trait of all humanity: we all want to be in control. The one with the upper hand, like the queen in a game of chess. So to be placed in such a scenario that you're nothing more than a disposable pawn, it's humiliating. And, if your inabilities result in the persecution of others, you feel as if you're the one to blame, and the only thing that can remove the shame is time, if ever. Yet with time it can grow and entangle and smother. Is there a worse feeling than such horrible lifelong guilt?
I dunno. I would love to discuss this, whether or not you agree. Thoughts anyone?

Also, I realize that I forgot to draw in a backpack...whoops :-l But on that note, does the backpack have one strap or two? Does it have any buckles or pockets on it?
Also I sorta used liberty on the breastplate and weapons, so feel free to call me out on those. And I'm not sure I put the quiver in the right place... -_-
Sorry I'll stop talking. Critique away, hon XP

mumbled ""There Is No Such Thing As A New Idea" -Mark Twain "

    3 years agoSvar
    Hello everyone! :)
I would like to ask you all: what are your opinions on this quote by Mark Twain?
"There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages." [Mark Twain's Own Autobiography: The Chapters from the North American Review]
I mean, I must say that it is not at all my intention to accuse anyone or anything; I do realize this a bit of an unorthodox thing to put on a writing website. XP This was just a thought that had come into my mind a moment ago. Upon trying to think up a new and original story, I began to find it difficult. For what I found was that many of these ideas were already taken. And I remembered this quote that I had heard sometime before that pertains.
So I would like to hear what you guys think. Whether or not you agree or disagree, please explain why. I am curious as to what you gather of this quote.

Have a nice day, guys! ;)
