NaNoWriMo 2015 Writing Competition!

Don't miss out on the big writing event of the year

In previous years, Movellas has gone NaNoWriMo crazy in November. For those of you who haven't heard of it, National Novel Writing Month happens every November and is the most intense, but exhilirating challenge a writer could face. All you have to do is write 50,000 words in 30 days, which is 1667 words a day. No big deal. The basic idea is that you will have the rough makings of a short novel by the end of it. Most people spend the month of October planning and outlining, but if you're just hearing of it now, be a NaNoWriMo pantser and jump right in!

The first week is one of the most frantic and we want to know how it’s going. We’ve done something a little different for this competition because we know you’re already writing furiously. Submit the first 5,000 words of your NaNoWriMo story entry, and get a head start on your December editing. Entering a competition is one way to get feedback on your writing, which might be helpful for plot ideas as the month goes on.

So be brave and enter those unedited 5,000 words! For those of you who aren't doing NaNoWriMo this year, but still want to get in on the action, we've made an option for you below.

The Competition

1. Submit the first 5000 words of your NaNoWriMo story so far. No edits necessary.
