7 Days: A Writing Competition

Jess always dreaded going to school...

About the book

This bold, compelling and topical story about bullying is told from the perspective of the bully and the bullied.

School should be a safe place for Jess, but at the moment it’s everything she dreads. Her life is difficult enough without Kez picking on her. Yet, Kez’s lift isn’t any better. She has plenty of problems, but finds comfort in knowing she is better off than Jess – or so she thinks…

Alternating between Jess’s and Kez’s perspectives, Ainsworth’s debut bores into the topic of bullying in a steadfast and necessary tale reminiscent of Malorie Blackman.
