I'm a Christian so for me Christmas represents the birth of Christ and the beginning of a new hope, but Christmas as a Holiday... well for me it's getting together and dancing with my family and exchanging gifts and singing songs and then going to my grandpa's room and praying for him because he has alzheimers.

A pocket watch chain(bought with the money from her hair) and hair ornaments( bought with his prized watch), but the real gift was their love.

Fairly certain it a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The bit where Scrooge's nephew comes to wish him a Merry Christmas. I hope I'm right, seeing as how I read the book twice a year.

I like that scene especially. Good 'ol Scrooge, sometimes I feel like him ;-)
