I think there should be a UK competition again this year, especially as Movellas has such a predominantly UK user-base! Also, it should be open over the summer holidays, so that we all have more time to give to our entries - I wanted to enter last year but couldn't due to exams, and I'm sure many others were in the same position. It's just such a fantastic opportunity, it seems a shame to miss out because of this! x

Believe me. We do too and we are working on it. We hope to launch something later this year. Just working on getting all the partners on board, which takes a lot of time and hard work, but it's absolutely something we want to do for UK Movellians. We'll keep you posted.

Exciting news fellow Movellians- I've been chosen as one of the winners in this year's Red House Young Writers competition and my story, Little Miss Lucky, is going to be published as part of the 2013 yearbook, next month! Keep an eye out for it in local bookshops/Amazon, I'm so happy and excited to have this opportunity for a second time :)

Can I just ask how you created such a realistic map of Elevea? I absolutely love it and it's such a good idea, did you use any software in particular? x

Ah, well long and funny story here ;) I knew I couldn't draw anything and make it look realistic, so I went on google earth, found a really remote place on a South American island or something, zoomed in loads, chopped off a few bits a pieces and that was the 'land of Elevea' shape, and for all the details and text etc I have to admit to using Paint... Really sensitive and emotionally charged piece, addressing a subject that's not often touched on, so well done for that! I really believed in the voice of the character, however you could make it even better by breaking up the paragraphs a bit more, sometimes they seem a bit long? Just a thought x
