JUDE IDADA
A graduate of the acclaimed Theatre Arts department of the University of Ibadan, he has worked extensively in the film and theatre industry as a Director, Producer, Writer and Actor. Amongst others, he is the winner of the best screenplay award at the African Movie Academy Awards for his multi-award winning film “The Tenant”. He has won the Goethe Institut Afrika Projekt competition and was a finalist in the New Directions Filmmakers of the future project by MNET.
He directed Flood by Femi Osofisan, Brixton Stories by Biyi Bandele and Lost by Modupe Olaogun in the Canadian theatre space to rave reviews in addition to being celebrated for his collection of short stories “A Box of Chocolates”. His plays, poems and short stories have been published and performed far and wide in various media. He has authored 8 full length plays and several screenplays which have been optioned and are in various stage of production and his most recent literary books are a collection of poetry “Exotica Celestica” and a play “Oduduwa – King of the Edos”. He lives in Toronto, Canada.
