I'm a novelist, playwright and screenwriter and I love being absurdly busy (and then complaining about how I have too much to do. Ha!)

I am a huge fan of all sorts of different writing, from well-written and characterised fantasy, to literary fiction, science fiction and good chick-lit too.

I like to write adult literary fiction and also, just to confuse, young adult fantasy stuff with good characterisation.

I can also be found on Wattpad.

I'd also like to nominate saffyre. She's not only a great writer, she also kicks ass at feedback. :-)

I'm pretty sure other people will back me up on this one too.

    Hey fab one!

I still owe you (and am going to enjoy finally getting written up!) lots of fab feedback. Sorry it's been so slow - I've been sidelined by Wattpad feature sorting (which you helped with by commenting and voting, so enormous thanks) and then with having to clean up my act a bit with taking down old stuff so my online presence is better and clearer.

It's hard work, all this proper authoring, isn't it?

But I just wanted to check in to say I haven't forgotten, and THANK YOU for the recent vote too. You are fab.

On the edge of the reality we know, there exists a pathway that conceals a realm far more extraordinary than any have dared to imagine. In this realm, a war is raging. And one girl is at the centre of...

Haha, you're welcome! I don't know that much about proper authoring, but what I do can be hard work.

Don't worry, I had a feeling you were really busy. This movella is on my profile on Wattpad as well, so if it's easier for you to put some feedback up there, then feel free to!

And thank you SO much for even thinking about giving feedback! I'm really grateful :)

Looking for great mystery or fantasy to read!

    5 years agoReply
    Hi All,

I'm really keen to read great mystery stories and fantasy ones, or literary fiction type titles, but often I find that the highest-read works aren't the best ones. So please help me out by suggesting stuff for me to read!

In return, I'd love as many reads, likes, favourites, etc. for The Butterfly Catchers, my entry into the Our Streets competiton:

The Butterfly CatchersThe Butterfly Catchers is inspired by three brutal murders which took place in the Old Farmhouse on my street, in 1932. Those murders weren't solved -...

It's a historical mystery/thriller about a triple murder which took place in 1932. Joel Tremethick, an orphaned poor boy from Cornwall who came to Cambridge to study his way out of poverty, is convicted of the murders. The story unravels what really happened from the point of view of view of Elise, sister to one of the victims. She realises that Joel is innocent and begins to untangle all the obsession, lust, lies and violence which ended in the murders.

But it's not a quid pro quo - I'm keen to read, and if it's not your cup of tea, you're under no obligation to like it. ;-)

So throw work at me and let me read it! And if you could put a little bit about what it is in your post, that would be great. I like a preview.

I have a piece :) It's classed as a sci-fi because it's set in the future and there's an alien invasion; but theirs a bit of everything in it. It's called 'In Sheep's Clothes', if you would care to read it through? Or if that doesn't sate your thirst, then i have a co-authored piece named the 'The Fall' which is an all-out fantasy piece, by me, Lia, Kiki and Vesp.

I'll give your 'The Butterfly Catchers' a look through, since there's a historical backround to it :). Hope i helped!

I've written a story called 'The Killing of Wolves' which is a fantasy set in the land of fairy tales with a dark twist. If you don't enjoy it I would still like some constructive criticism and I'll be sure to read 'The Butterfly Catchers'. I' d heard that you'd written something like this and I've been looking forward to an oppurtunity to read it. Don't worry- I'm not just flattering you so you'll like my movella, I genuinely am interested and hope you enjoy mine too. Thank you!

I'm not sure it would be classified as great writing, though.

Fantastic start. You write really well, particularly about something which is evidently so personal.

I'd love to read more. I've favourited and liked, so I'll read as soon as you upload more. :-) Do it soon! Think of it as cathartic while pleasing us all... ;-)

I'd love to have your opinion on The Butterfly Catchers, too, if you have a chance. It's a little different, but also carefully written - it's a historical thriller about a triple murder which happened along the road from my house:
The Butterfly CatchersThe Butterfly Catchers is inspired by three brutal murders which took place in the Old Farmhouse on my street, in 1932. Those murders weren't solved -...

I've entered it for the Our Streets competition, and would be delighted to have any feedback, likes and follows.
