Interesting...and brave. The ending was really catchy but the second chapter is a little short and doesn't match it so well. I'd love to read on so keep writing!

    mumbled "Editing!"

Ah, the old job of returning to your work and editing it. Fun? Not fun? You tell me.
I have just managed to edit the first few chapters of my movella called 'Sacrifice' (I really should think, of a better title for it) so that it is all prepped up for the competition. I might give it a go, why not?

'Despise' is a tad bit too strong to represent my feelings. I mildly dislike editing; the fact that you have to return to your work and look out for errors like a hawk (it's tedious business). It's like eating broccoli- you know that the overall effect is good even if you find it inedibly foul. And time consuming. But the main, most important reason of it lies in the fact that I'm incredibly lazy and serial procrastinator.
I suppose it is slightly easier than writing out the whole story in a way...I can never edit properly, not without rewriting the entire text (which is why I find it time consuming).

    mumbled "NaNoWriMo"

So, it’s the 1st of November 2012 and I’ve been dragged into NaNoWriMo.
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and anyone can participate to write a 50,000 worded novel in 30 days of that month. Well, that is my impression so far.
Many horror stories have reached my ears about how it eats people souls and forces then to consume large amounts if caffeine. This isn’t particularly reassuring. Nonetheless I’ve made a start today and seem to be floating on task without resorting to extremes which triggers the fear ‘Am I doing this wrong?’ Shouldn’t I be stressed and tearing chunks of my hair? Something tells me that in my path to 50,000 words- I probably will. Only time will tell.
