I am sorry to all the people who are probably confused due to the deletion of my book, but this summer, you see, I plan on getting it published and to prevent copy right, I had to delete it. But thank you to all the people who commented and liked, it really made me smile!

This is really good! I love the tension and the drama and the shape shifting!!! (I also really like the cover!) I really like the names and the story lines and the structure is brilliant! One issue people tend to have is paragraphing and structure and you have no failed!!!! Feel free to look at my piece, but if it's not up your street well that's cool then and I really am looking forward to the next chapter!!! :) LOVE THIS!!

Thank you so much for commenting guys!!! A yes, I'm glad someone criticized because, well, its constructive right? And I do agree with you, Adam, since whilst writing it my main worry was a slow moving beginning, but as I spoke with a few fantasy authors and read more books, I realized that if you are introducing a completely new world of your creation, you have to take the time to get the reader introduced to it, since you may know what goes on in your head, but they haven't a clue!!! But thanks, and I'll see if I can't thread in something more interesting ;)

Is Fantasy to Thrive or Die?

With 'Harry Potter' coming to an end, 'Twilight' (...) following, the new release of 'The Hunger Games' and the painful wait for 'The Hobbit' movie, it seems fantasy is going to live.
But it's the books who are missing out all of the fun. Just because 'Lord of the Rings' was on such a large scale with old English and written by a man who died decades ago, putting his writing a little past today's generation, doesn't mean that the rest of us fellow fantasy fanatics are the same. Tolkien was amazing, yes, but young people these days barely dare to explore the world of authors who are old enough to be our Grandparents (or GREAT Grandparents).
I have hopes that my books will change the ways young people see fantasy, since it is written in modern times by someone their age. It has humor, tension, love and all the things teens look for. But the one thing I would really appreciate are readers.
I admit, my movellas are long and carry many more chapters than usual, but that's because they are extracts of the book I would like to publish this summer, so lots of feed back would be helpful before I venture out into the world of printing and publishing!

Omg you sound like me.. Only ive gone down the sci-fi route, but it's a similar thing. I'll definitely check out your work, and I promise to read every word :P you may have heard about my Requiem trilogy? Check em out, by the sounds of things they are right up your street

But I definitely feel that there is more acceptance for people to enjoy good fantasy and sci-fi. The stigma for being a nerd is gone because everyone now has at some point been a nerd. I think video games for this. 30 years ago if you said you'd read LOTR you were seen a massive geek, but now it's different. I reckon fantasy and sci-fi is on the rise, we just need some better writers to get interested in this up and coming genre
