    Is Peeta a cardboard cutout?

    5 years agoReply
I find Peeta a bit predictable and flat.
(always honorable, strong, etc - inner conflict nothing past the obvious)
Is he a character on his own or just background for Katniss's story?

come to think of it... you're right. i guess since the story is written from katniss's point of view, this would just be how she saw him... and who doesn't love a good old fashioned goodie? :P

I love Peeta so much, though since the story is told from Katniss's point of view we don't know his inner feelings, i think it would be totaly amazing if we had a hunger games book from Peeta's POV

    Anything beyond twilight?

Can anyone recommend more paranormal romance stories. Beyond the twilight trilogy?

I third (does that even count) The Mortal Instruments, beautiful books and the prequels, The Infernal Devices are even better in my opinion though that might be because I love the Victorian setting. For people who aren't adverse to graphic violence or more adult scenes, The Black Dagger Brotherhood is fantastic too. Wouldn't recommend them for the faint hearted/prudish though, they get a very graphic in places. Hope this helps :D

Its an urban fantasy but I love Rachel Vincent's werecat series. The first book in 'Stray' and I love it.

I also really liked Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. Its a series about werewolves. I'm pretty sure that's a paranormal romance and its the start of a really good series.

If you want something a bit more rauncy then Nalini Singh has written some Paranormal Erotica. It's the Psy-Changeline series and the idea is the world is split into the cold psychics and the wild changelings (shapeshifters) and two sides are enemies but... obviously romance happens, he he. What you can't have always seems that little more tempting ;)
