Changing In More Ways Than One

I am a demon in the angel world. I only have two friends, but only one is actually allowed to hang out and talk to me.

3. High School Sucks

*Willow's P.O.V.*

I woke up to my alarm screaming at me and my little sister, Primrose, jumping on me. I sat up really fast and shut off my alarm. I then turned to Prim and yelled. "GET OFF OF MY BED AND OUT OF MY ROOM!!!" She jumped off the bed and ran out of the room laughing. I sighed. Somethings will never change. I got out of bed and walked over to my closet. I looked around and then got dressed. (outfit below)

After doing so I headed downstairs to the kitchen. My mom was in there cooking pancakes. Prim was already at the table, awaiting her food. I set my backpack down on the floor next to my chair and sat down. "Good morning mom. Primrose was jumping on me again this morning." My mother turned around. "Good morning Willow. Prim, you are not to jump on your sister like that." Prim giggled. "Ok!" Mom placed fresh pancakes in front of us. "You two eat and then head off to school." I started eating the pancakes in a hurry. Once I was done I got up out of my chair, grabbing my backpack, putting my plate in the sink, and running out the door towards the bus stop. Once at the bus stop, I pulled out my phone. I don't enjoy riding the bus, but I also don't want to fly all the way to school. The only other person who rides the bus in my neighborhood is Jake, Prince Liam's best friend. He is too lazy to fly to school so he rides the bus. I don't usually talk to him unless there is nothing else to do.

I look up from my phone to see that Jake is approaching, so I put my earbuds in and turn on my music so I don't have to listen to him chattering. I ignore him and play Minecraft on my phone. After a few minutes, Jake tapped my shoulder. I took out my earbuds and turned to him. "What do you need?" He stared at me for a moment before answering. "Are you ready for school today?" I give him a look. "No, not really. Although going to school has gotten better, I am still the demon in a school full of angels. Seriously, Jake, I will never be ready for school." He laughed. "Look on the bright side, you have Sage as your friend." I gave him another look. "Yeah, my only friend." I was thankful that the bus pulled up at that moment. I put my earbuds back in and got on the bus, ignoring the people around me the entire ride.

When we got to the school, I got off the bus without a word and entered the school building. Once inside, I looked around for my best friend. Someone ran up behind me and hugged me. I turned my head to see my best friend, Sage, clinging to me. "Hey Sage. How was your weekend?" She let go of me and came around to my front. "Well, besides the fact that Lily annoyed the shit out of me all weekend, It was ok." I laughed. "I know how you feel. Prim does the same thing." We both laugh. "I guess we should get on to class before the bell rings." I nod and we walk out of the lunchroom and into the halls.

I sat in the lunchroom and waited for Jake's bus to arrive so I could talk to my best friend. While I waited I thought about how much I hated coming to school, due to all of the fangirls I had. I hated them so much.

As I was thinking about this I saw Willow walk in the door. I watched her walk away looking around as though she were looking for someone. That someone was probably Sage, her best friend. I watched as Sage came up behind Willow and hugged her. As I was watching the two girls, Jake came up to me and looked where I was looking and then looked at me. "Dude, what are you staring at?" I shook my head. "Sorry, I thought I saw something." He sighed. "Dude you stare off into space more and more lately. It is starting to worry me." I looked at him. "Don't worry, I'm fine. You want to come over to my place today?" He nodded. "I am always happy to go to your place to escape my house." I laughed. "Ok dude, just remember that we have to fly back to my place." He made a pouty face. "Yeah, I know. Now, Let's get to class so we aren't late." I nodded and followed him into the halls.

I looked over at Sage as we walked. "Please don't do that again." Sage looked at me. "Do what?" I gave her a look. "Don't hug me from behind. It hurts my Wings." I flapped my blue dragon-like wings to make my point. She sighed. "I always forget that you can't close your wings like angels do. I always forget that you aren't an angel like everyone else here at school. You are just too nice to be a demon." I smiled. "Thanks, but you have to remember that I was raised by angels for the majority of my life." She laughed a little. "Right, I forgot." We both laughed as we continued down the hall.

As we walked into the classroom, Sage turned to me. "What exactly did Prim do to you this weekend?" I turned to face her. "Oh you know, the usual. She kept pulling on my horns and tail and asking whether they were real or not. She seems not to get the fact that I was born with the horns and tail. TO show her that my tail was real, I wrapped it around her a lifted her off the ground." Sage laughed again. "It must be fun to be able to do things like that." I shook my head. "Not really." We separated and went to our seats. All throughout the class, I could tell that people were glaring at me. Although I have gone to school with these people forever now they still aren't used to me. This is the reason that High School sucks, especailly for a demon living in a city full angels.
