Midnight Encounters

Born a Muslim, superstitious beliefs are something I have grown up to believe. Considering the constant fear of 'another entity' being around us, I was always a scared child. It had taken me a while to believe such things, yet
still kept me scared. Overtime, my beliefs turned to reality, with me personally countering unknown entities. This story mentions one of real-life experiences I have had, in my house in Saudi Arabia.

1. The Room Change

Considering I spent most of my life in Saudi Arabia, we had been living in the same house for over 15 years. I had spent my entire childhood in one room, and had memorized every inch of it. One day, my mother thought the room needed a change, and convinced me to move around the furniture. I, for one, am not a big fan of change, and hated moving things around. But, my mother being a mother did it anyways, and said, "You just watch Hera, you're gonna love it. Change is always good. And besides, it's the same room, just the same things in different places." So therefore, I was convinced.

The day came where Mom had ordered the workers to move my bed from one side of the room to the other. Which means, instead of it being against the wall, it was placed against the window on the parallel side of the room. She moved around the dressing table, the side tables,  and the carpets. It was as if I had moved into a whole new room, with the same walls. But the minor changes still bothered me. Although my window was only two feet wide and 6 feet long, I wasn't a big fan of my bed facing the opposite direction, blocking my view outside. It upset me to the point where I was afraid to go to sleep the first week. Little did I know, that my fear was viable, because the next three nights were gonna be the most scariest nights of my life.
