Later that evening they sat at a table in the Blue Oyster restaurant. Coleen McKenzie Joined them.

Cassie looked at the woman who was very pretty even though she was knocking on for forty years of age. Her skin was fresh she had short blonde hair that was tight with curls, she had a Scandinavian look about her. Coleen McKenzie was tall and very thin. She wore a flared trouser suit and flat shoes. She wore very little make up. They looked at the menu after David had introduced Cassie to Coleen who put her completely at ease after shaking hands. A selection of starters arrived, including crab cakes, tom yum soup, crispy duck, and a platter of shell fish. They all shared in the meal served in beautiful blue bowls and then came a selection of chicken dishes, There was Thai red and green curry, deep fried chicken in nutty sesame oil and a sweet and sour sauce, Lemon chicken, and chicken in fried rice.’ Then some pork dishes came out. It really was a delight on the palate. Finally they had fresh Asian fruits with ice cream which was delightful Cassie said. They chatted away most of the evening and not a mention of the job was discussed. Then the young woman who had been serving them all of the food came and asked if they had enjoyed their meal.

“Yes it was delicious. Thank you said Cassie.’

“Can I introduce you to Apinya Khajee, she owns this restaurant.’ The young woman put her hands together then bowed her head. Cassie was quite taken aback. The woman was outstandingly beautiful, she was only in her early twenties with a figure to die for. She stood about five feet four inches tall. Her long black hair came down her back and shone like a stallion’s mane. Her eyes were large and brown in colour and her teeth were perfectly white. What surprised Cassie the most was her accent? She spoke better English than her.

“Won’t you join us Apinya said Coleen, I would like you to meet a new member of my staff. This is Cassie Longmuir.’

“So I have a job said Cassie excitedly.’

“Yes, please come to my office tomorrow and I will show you your contract.’

“Thank you so much but I thought I would have had to attend an interview?’

“I have been interviewing you all night. You are the right candidate for the job.’

“I have already seen your resume and you are just what I am looking for.’ you are going to finish your degree so you will be fully qualified soon.’ You will start at fifteen thousand pounds per annum and when you have your degree then it will rise to twenty.’ “That is a good wage is it not?’

“Marvellous.’ I’m overwhelmed.’

“If you need any help with your dissertation don’t hesitate to come and see me.’

“I think this calls for a celebration don’t you; can we get a couple of bottles of champagne said David.’

“I’m so happy David.’ Everything is working out for me.’

“It is only what you deserve.’

All through the evening they laughed and drank lots of champagne. David would not allow either Cassie or Colleen pay the bill. The food they were told by Apinya was on the house so David just paid for the drinks that they’d had.
