“David poured the coffee and added cream to them. He handed Cassie a cup as he told her that he’d seen her wedding photo.’

“I understand how you must fear your husband he does look formidable.’

“Yes, he was a flanker I believe for Whitley bay rugby team.’

“I thought as much he has the beginnings of a cauliflower ear, I’m used to operating of injuries of this sort you see.’

“He must weigh close to 250 pounds.’

“He’s twenty stone David and there’s no fat on him. He has a strict diet regime which consists of Chicken and fish. He lifts heavy weights down at the YMCA. He’s very strong.’

“He would have to be to play rugby, but not so much to play golf I would have thought.’

“Sandy has always been obsessive about his physique. You want to see what he eats in just one day. And that’s without all the protein drinks and other supplements he’s taking.’

“He’s not taking anabolic steroids by any chance is he?’ this would explain his mood swings and aggressive behaviour.’

“I don’t know David, but I’m worried if he finds out about us God knows what he might do.’

“Don’t you worry about me, I can take care of myself. It’s you I’m worried about.’

“Just then the phone rang and Cassie nervously picked it up.’

“Where have you been Sandy Shouted down the phone; I’ve been ringing you all morning.’

“I went out with a school friend for coffee, Cassie said nervously; we went into town and we got talking you know how it is.’

“What is wrong?’

“Looks like I may have to come home, I’ve picked up an infection and I’ve got this massive abscess that needs lancing.’

“When are you coming home then?’

“Tomorrow afternoon most likely, they are organising a helicopter for me now.’

“Will you be wanting dinner then when you get back?’

“Of course I will stupid, just do me four of those large chicken breast fillets, a baked potato, and some salad.’

“I will have it ready for you when you come in.’

The phone went dead without him even saying goodbye.

“He’s having to come home tomorrow David; he’s developed an infection.’ He’s got an abscess apparently.’

“Did he say where?’
