The clothes lay scattered upon the bed as Cassie Longmuir tried on different things. She didn’t want to be over dressed but at the same time didn’t want to look too casual. She settled for a black skirt and a white blouse and a scarlet box jacket with padded shoulders it was a modern style that suited her. She was undecided whether or not to wear her hair up or just leave it hanging loose. She tried it up first and decided if it wasn’t appropriate she could let her hair down.

She wore black heels and her legs were nicely tanned so she didn’t feel the need to wear tights. Her legs were moisturised and they glistened in the light. The skirt accentuated the length of them as she checked herself in the full length mirror. She decided on a more natural look with her makeup and used a pale shade of rose pink lipstick then an over lay of lip gloss.

The doorbell rang and she went to answer it bringing a black clutch bag with her with her purse and some money.’

When she opened the door David was blown away by the way she looked. “Wow! You look absolutely stunning.’ The men aren’t going to be able to keep their eyes off you tonight; myself included.’

“You know just what to say to a woman don’t you David; you look quite dashing yourself.’

“Why thank you my lady; your carriage awaits.’

David was wearing a light blue jacket, white shirt, and black trousers. He wore a patterned blue silk tie that was the same colour as his jacket. His shoes were polished to a high shine as he led Cassie to his car. He opened the door for her and she got in then he let himself in the driver’s side.’

David drove down to the coast through to Seaton Delaval then on to Blyth. It was a lovely warm summers evening as they chatted away mostly about old school days. He pulled in at the Waterford Arms. The lovely bay was lit by the light coming from the light house and the small seine net boats who were fishing some five miles off. David led Cassie through the door then told the waiter that he had a table booked.’

“Yes sir, would you like to come this way.’ The waiter led them to a table near the window so that they could look out at the night sky and the sea.’

“This is perfect, I never knew this place existed. Do you bring all of your lady friends here?’

“No, you are the first.’  Now would you permit me to order the wine?’

“Yes go ahead.’

David got the waiters attention again and he came over.

How can I help you sir?’

“We would like a bottle of your finest Sauvignon please, uncorked of course.’

“Certainly sir we will bring that right over.’

A few minutes later the waiter reappeared with a bottle and showed it to David who read the label.’
