They both looked at each other as they lay on the sheepskin rug. No words were needed at this point from either of them but what was evident was that both had had the best sex of their entire lives. They matched each other perfectly.

Paul pulled the quilt off the bed and they just lay there and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Across town it was a similar scenario as Norman Fawcett made love to Stella, the love making may have been a lot gentler but the passion between them none the less. At six o’clock in the morning Stella rose from the bed naked and went to the bathroom and then returned and dressed she made breakfast for Norman who woke when he could smell the ham and eggs cooking. He drank three cups of coffee and ate four slices of toast where he made a bacon sandwiches smothered in brown sauce. He ordered a cab and told Stella he’d see her later that day after the interview between the new world champion and the now ex- champion. She kissed him as he left and she watched from the window as he looked up and waved before getting into the cab and driving off.

Alex Cordosa was now in his second year at Newcastle University medical school he had another two years before he would qualify to be a doctor and a further three before he became a surgeon. He was gaining vast experience at both the Newcastle General Hospital and at the RVI. David Brenton allowed him to scrub in and watch as he operated. His grasp of the English language was now near perfect. He spoke with his parents Rodrique and Marianna every weekend. He was now eighteen years old and had a girlfriend called Rosanna Felini from Italy. They had been together for over a year now and she had invited him to meet her parents in Vomero in Naples. They went for the weekend where he met Geovanni and Anna and Rosanna’s sister Paulina. They liked Alex very much and were happy that her daughter was dating a man who would become an eminent surgeon.

Rosanna was going to be Gynaecologist and like Alex she was very passionate about medicine. She was working on the development of a new drug that would help expectant mothers during labour.

During his stay in Naples Alex was introduced to the whole family and there was a huge feast in his honour. They sang and danced into the early hours and for the very first time in his life Alex drank a little too much wine and had to go to bed. He woke with a heavy head and it took him half a day to recover. Alex told Rosanna’s parents about David and Cassie Brenton who had brought him from Lisbon to England and had paid for his Education. Geovanni said that he was a very lucky man to have sponsors who cared for him also.

When Alex returned he talked about getting a house of his own. He was on a decent salary whilst training to become a surgeon and he wanted to bring his parents over for a holiday. David and Cassie offered to pay for them to come over but Alex said that they had done enough for him already and that he wanted to pay for them to come over himself. Alex played football for the university team and they won the BUCKS Challenge Trophy. Alex scored thirteen times for his team and got the winning goal to beat Oxford by four goals to one. It was over twenty five years since they had been in a final. This time they had triumphed winning the trophy having been in no fewer than four finals previously and lost.
