“Early, because I know all the best spots to fish. If we can get there for six in the morning we have a good chance of landing one of the big carp on the lake.’

“How big are they?’

“Well there are a few thirty pound plus fish in there.’

“That’s big isn’t it?’

“Pretty much, they do hang on and take a bit of landing.’

“You will have to help me if I get one on the line.’ I will be terrified you know.’

“You will be fine I promise you.’

Harry finished his meal then pushed his plate away with a satisfied look. “Compliments to the chef that steak was spot on.’

“The chips weren’t bad either, we make our own not like some restaurants that buy in frozen one and they taste horrible.’

Harry looked at his watch and it was now eleven o’clock the time with Susan had gone so quickly.’

“I think we’d better get ourselves to bed said Susan.’

“Well if we’re to be up early in the morning?’

“Oh I see, yes I agree.’

“If you hold on I will get your money from my dad.’

Harry wrote out a receipt then waited for Susan to return when she did she was holding a carrier bag with the money inside.

“Would you like to count it asked Susan.’

“No, I trust your father. Here there’s the receipt.

Susan folded the receipt and put it in her back pocket of her jeans. “The cars outside if you would like me to run you home.’

Harry took the money then folded the bag and went outside and waited for Susan. She opened the door to the mini cooper and he got in.

Driving back to his house Harry was very apprehensive. He wondered what she would make of of the Meadowell Estate. She made no comment, maybe because it was dark and that she couldn’t see.

She leaned across and kissed him; thanks for a wonderful evening I really enjoyed it.’ “I shall pick you up tomorrow around five okay.’

“Great, good night Susan.’

She turned in the street and headed back the way she had come.

I must get a car after I pass my test thought Harry as he went into his house.’
