David told him that they would go and watch Newcastle United play and was surprised that Alex knew more than him about the club and the players.

As the afternoon wore on Cassie said that she would take Alex out shopping. They were all packed and ready to leave they had to leave the room by five o’clock that afternoon but could stay in the hotel until later that afternoon. Cassie drove into Alcaria with Alex and went into several clothe shops and bought him everything he would need in England. Including two suits and shirts ties and dress shoes that she picked out for him.

Surprisingly the £500 pound bill was cheaper than she envisaged. Especially given that she had bought him summer clothing as well as some clothes for winter too. The likes of woollen jumpers and a winter coat, a Regatta raincoat with a woollen hat and gloves were perfect and she bought him a pair of hiking boots too from a mountaineering shop that he would surely need. Four pairs of 501 jeans were bought and a suitcase on wheels was thrown in free after Alex haggled with the owner. She bought Alex some pyjamas and underwear plus an electric toothbrush, Razor, deodorants and some aftershaves.

“Now is there anything that I have forgotten before we leave Alex?’

“I think you have spent enough money on me don’t you. I will pay you back when I get a job in England. I want to be able to pay my way.’

“You will,’ but don’t worry about it now. Help me pack all of this into the suitcase so we can just leave for the airport when the time comes.’ You have brought your passport and birth certificate and the other documents that David asked you for haven’t you.’

“Yes Cassie, they are in my carry case.’

“Good we do not want any slip ups at the airport.’

“Okay leave a clean shirt and a pair of Jeans out so that you can change into before we go.’

“What is wrong with what I have on?’

“Cassie smiled and said there is no need to wear those shabby clothes now Alex we can discard them when we get back. And David has new trainers for you which he forgot to give you last night.’ There was a hole in the top of Alex’s training shoe and part of the sole was also split. By the looks of it they had been worn a long time.

Alex helped Cassie take the clothes out of the packaging and fold them neatly into the case finally his two new suits went on the top inside a plastic sleeve to keep them clean. She zipped up the black case and Alex pulled it along to the car. “We will have to drop the car in at their airport where we hired it so we will leave a little earlier as there will be a queue I expect.’

“I will get us served quickly said Alex, my friend Simme works there.’

They drove back to the hotel where they found David making a call.’

He stuck his thumb up in the air as Cassie and Alex returned to the room with the suitcase.

“What have you been buying?’

“I bought Alex some new clothes that he will need back home.’
