9. what to bring on a road trip

As one who's been on many road trips, I tend to be very good at packing. I've never forgotten anything I majorly need.

You don't want to forget anything especially because you're going far from home. So here's a MUST list of items you will need!!

1) clothes! Let's say you're going for six days. I'd bring about ten shirts, three pants and two shorts with two pairs of shoes. I can go just one mainly because I only owned one pair of shoes up until yesterday, but it's always nice to have an extra pair. And two swim suits.

2) toiletries! Toothbrush/paste. Deodorant. Shampoo/conditioner. Glasses/contacts/contact case/ glasses case/ contact solution/an extra pair of contacts just in case. I'm nearly blind so I better bring that!

3) chargers! Phone charger, laptop charger, tablet charger. On top of your phone charger, bring a portable charger. Also headphones.

4) notebook or drawing pad! You're gonna be in the car for a long time and most places in the mountains don't have bars. Draw a picture or write a book. I wrote like half a book on my road trip to Colorado!

5) a book or two. Just something to do in the hotel room.

6) food! I mean you can always go with the classic gas station food, but it's always nice to bring foods that aren't from a gas station. Like bring some hot dogs and one of those mini burners and make some hot dogs at your next rest stop! Or go to a hot dog shop and save you some money and room in your bags..

7) YOUR MONEY!!! Don't forget your wallet at home!!!

8) Your own personal pillows and blankets. Yes hotel ones are comfy but I feel more at home with my pillow.

9) if you're bringing your dog, please bring dog food, their leash, collar, bowl and water. Put a collar on them because they can get lost but someone can read their little tag and return them! ((Mainly saying this because dogs don't have collars around the area I live in)).

10) BRING WATER!!! Bring gallon jugs with you!!!

And that's it! You're all set to go!!!
