8. Daily Routine

It seemed like no time at all before Remus had a daily routine settled with Callidora. The Grangers and Remus had worked it out that he would take the kids every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with rotations every week. As much as he didn't want to, Remus thought he would fit in more if he had a car, so he bought one with some money from Sirius that he had converted to pounds. He smiled when he looked at the small and simple car, knowing that Sirius would laugh at him for not getting something garish and flashy. After taking her to school, Remus would work with Moody and Amelia to try and set Sirius free and then pick either pick the kids up from school or have tea with the Grangers while the two girls played, then he would help Callidora with her homework while making dinner, then it was bath time and then bed time.

Remus didn't want to admit it, but he filled the parental role almost perfectly and he wished his mate was here to see it and join in with it.

With all of that going on it was hard for Remus to try and come up with ideas to include Harry into their carpool, but until they did he made sure the little boy got home safely even if he wasn't in the car with them (after all, what is magic for).

However, today it seemed that his routine was about to fluctuate a little...because sometimes kids are more perceptive than their parents with things.

Remus was quietly sitting on the porch drinking his morning tea, when he heard a little voice behind him say, "Daddy, I think I have an idea on how to be able to allow Harry to ride to school with us in the morning..."

Remus turned from watching the sunrise and faced his daughter. He quirked an eyebrow at her statement and asked: "What idea do you have sweetheart?"

She looked at him shyly and said: "What if we followed the route we took when we walked him home and picked him up away from the sight of his relatives and their house...a good safe distance a way that they aren't going to notice?"

Remus grinned broadly "That sweetheart is a very splendid idea. Fill Harry in today when you get to school so he isn't confused." Callidora nodded before rushing back up to her room to get ready for school. Remus stood up and with a last glance at the sunset he whispered: "She is more like you everyday Padfoot."

Soon Remus was driving his daughter and Hermione Granger to school with the two chatting excitedly about the day ahead and what games they were going to play with Harry at recess. Remus smiled at that, and knew that if they found their fourth friend, then Hogwarts would never be the same again after having another set of Marauders go through its hallowed walls. He dropped them off and his daughter gave him a quick hug and kiss goodbye with an attached 'I love you' before running off with Hermione into the school doors.

The werewolf smiled at the pair before driving back to his flat. Deciding to break routine a little bit, he put a wizarding robe over his Muggle clothes and Apparated to the Apparition point near the Leaky Cauldron and headed to Diagon was time to do some business with the Goblins; and maybe get the ball rolling to help not only Sirius but Harry as well.
