Now she must escape on her own.
Whatever it takes

2. Speak To Me...

Here's the second chapter. Enjoy!!!! (Leave comments if you want to)

The Kidnapper's POV:

Finally. I have her-Dan Reynolds' daughter. Now the second part of my plan can begin...

Ben's POV:

I knock quietly on Dan's bedroom door. There's no answer. He's been in there all day, pretty much since he heard Arrow has been kidnapped last night. I'm started to get worried.

"Dan, it's me. I'm coming in." I say. I hear a faint noise from his side as a response. I open the door and see Dan lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling and doing nothing. There's no music playing, no paper with new song possibilities written on them. Even the T.V is dark and silent. I don't think I've ever seen him this depressed.

"Hey, are you alright?" I ask. Stupid question. Of course he isn't alright. His daughter has just been kidnapped! He doesn't answer. I try to talk some more, but Dan blanks everything I say. Eventually, I give up and go back downstairs.

"How is he?" Wayne asks as I walk into the living room. I see Daniel looking at me worriedly. I shake my head.

"Not good," I reply. "He's just lay on the bed doing nothing. Just staring at the ceiling." I sit on the sofa opposite them. "I don't know what to do or how to take this." I say. No-one else knows, either.

Wayne's POV:

This isn't good news. I don't know how to get Dan moving again. I don't think any of us do. I can't believe Arrow is gone, but what I'm feeling about it must be nothing compared to what Dan must be feeling. He's her father. I don't know what to do.

Dan's POV:

I ignore Ben when he comes in. I'm not in the mood to talk, or even to get up. I stare at the ceiling as if it could take me to Arrow.

Arrow is gone. I think.

Please let this be a dream.

Where are you?

I feel lost, hopeless. If only I hadn't let her out yesterday! She would still be here. I pick up my phone and send a desperate, frantic text. She doesn't reply. Obviously. A single, horrible question comes into my mind, and I can't push it away, even though I want to.

Is Arrow still alive?

Arrow' POV:

I wake with the worst headache I've ever felt. I'm tied to a chair in a large, spacious room-probably a warehouse. A stark electric strip light illuminates everything. I see a bed, a toilet and a sink. Nothing else. No windows. The door is heavy steel-there's no way I can break through it. Everything else is cloaked in thick, dark shadows. Suddenly, the singsong-y voice I heard yesterday fills the room, making me feel ice cold.

"You're finally awake, Arrow Reynolds. Now we can get started. You do exactly as I say, or else I hurt you and your family-including your dad." Those words sent icy chills down my spine. Fear grips me but I don't let it show.

"No. You don't even know where I live. You definitely don't want to mess with Dan. It'll be seven-to-one anyway-Imagine Dragons, my twin sisters and Aja. Seriously. Now LET. ME. GO!!!" I shout the last three words, my voice bouncing off the walls. I will never do anything this person says.

"Who said I'm alone? Arrow Reynolds, you will do as I say. I will make you. Or else you suffer the consequences. Leah, cut her free." The voice is cold and hard, no longer singsong-y. Someone comes out of the shadows with a knife. She has the build of a sparrow-skinny and tallish, her hair lanky. Her eyes are almost black-shark's eyes. She slices the rope that binds me, and I weigh up my chances. I'm taller, and by the looks of it, a lot stronger than her. The second I'm free, I lunge for her, tearing at her hair. Suddenly, sharp pain shoots through my side, and I collapse, gasping. I forgot about the knife. I press my hand to where she stabbed me, and I feel something wet, warm and slightly sticky. Blood. I curl up, and I hear the voice again.

"This is why you shouldn't try to fight back. I hope you learn fast, Arrow Reynolds. Goodbye." The light shuts out, leaving me curled up and whimpering into the dark.

Daniel's POV:

No-one can get through to Dan. He's still upstairs, lying on his bed. We've all taken turns to check on him, and I'm getting really worried for him-and Arrow. Suddenly, the door flies open-and Dan comes into the living room, fully dressed. I smile gently at him.

"Hey, you're finally up. Are you ok?" I ask.

"I want to go and look for her. Anywhere. I need to find her." he replies, his voice thick with emotion. Ben stands up.

"If you go, we go." He says, and me and Wayne agree.

"You're not going to go through this alone." Wayne says. He doesn't try to stop us or argue back. We outnumber him. We all pile into his car.

"Last night, the policewoman said that the car in which she was taken in was a black Toyota. There were two people in it-a man and a woman. I've got...Do you want to see the picture? I've got a copy." Wayne explains. Dan nods and takes a look at the picture. I see it too- the blurry, grainy, unfocused shot of a tall-ish figure with a girl who is unmistakably Arrow. He then reverses out of the drive and we are off.

Dan's POV:

Rage replaces the depressed feeling, and I suddenly cant stay here anymore. I need to find Arrow. I dress quickly and go down. I tell Daniel and the guys that I want to look for her, and they all come. Wayne shows me the picture the policewoman gave him last night, and pain shoots through me. I push it down and reverse out of the driveway. I don't know where to look for her first-she could be anywhere by now.

I hope that whoever finds her isn't too late.
