~~Lucy's POV

I glared at Jack in astonishment. I didn't know how to react, but I did know one thing: I was terrified. Amanda left and closed the door behind her, leaving me and Jack alone in the hospital room. Jack stared at the tiled floor for a while, until he slowly lifted his head and sighed deeply outwards.
"Um, hey, Lucy." He said timidly while rubbing the back of his neck. He refused to make eye contact with me, as I did him. "I need to talk to you about what happened. There are some things you don't understand." He took a step closer to me. I flinched in fright and shifted in my bed. Jack saw my fear and took a step back. He sighed again and sat down on a plastic chair at the far end of the room. "Ok, first of all, Lucy, you have to know that that wasn't me. Well, I guess it was me but..." He kept his gaze locked on the floor and was unable to form his words correctly. He cleared his throat before continuing once more. "I have a... Thing. I understand how that's quite vague but I don't know how else to describe it." He giggled softly under his breath, trying to lighten up the mood. "I don't remember how it happened, but one day I was with one of my old friends just playing video games, like any normal day. But suddenly I felt so, angry, and before I knew it I... I..." He trailed off at the end of his sentence, but I could guess what happened to the friend. Why was he telling me this? It was just making me more frightened of him! He hung his head low and ran his fingers through his vibrant green hair. "Ever since then, whenever I feel angry or any sort of emotion to a high degree, an alter ego appears. Anti. When he comes out, I don't remember what I do. I don't remember how I act. I don't remember anything." He starred sullenly at the floor. I knew it couldn't have been Jack who did this to me. "I can't apologise enough Lucy. And I can't blame it all on Anti. I'm as much to blame as he is."
"Jack..." I didn't know what to say, so I leaned up in my bed and opened my arms wide for a hug. All of my fear and terror melted away and was replaced with sympathy and care. Jack looked up, and smiled lightly. He came closer and pulled me into a tight embrace.
"Lucy, I've done so many things, so many unforgivable acts. I don't deserve you. I don't deserve anyone."
I could hear that his voice was cracking, and two seconds later, he broke down crying on my shoulder. I rubbed his back lightly to comfort him. Suddenly, Jack gasped and quickly pulled away. He gripped his head in pain, and tightly scrunched his eyes closed.
"Jack, are you ok?" I asked worryingly. What was wrong with him? But then I saw. He reopened his eyes. They were the cold, deathly black that haunted my mind. The calm feeling I had before went away, and in its place, a dreadful sense of fright. My breathing increased. I shifted as far back in my bed as possible. Oh God. Anti cocked his head to the side, with the same look of fascination on his face as he had in the basement. He laughed softly, showing his sharp teeth, and glared at me.
"Oh, Lucy, did little old Jack tell you about me? I'm glad, it's nice that he has me on his mind so often!" He spat. The memory's of the basement flooded back to me. I couldn't breath.
"Oh no, don't be afraid. I can only stay for a short while right now, but we'll have our fun again soon, don't you worry!" He laughed manically, like a wild animal. "Soon Jack will be mine. Soon he'll be gone. Gone forever." The last part of his sentence was said in a terrifyingly deep voice. He blinked. His eyes were back to their normal bright blue. I was scared to death. Jack looked at me with confusion, but then he jumped slightly in realisation.
"Oh God. Oh God no..." He looked at me in fright and stepped back quickly. "I... I..." He opened the door and left the room.
I was alone.
