16. Sixteen

{Days later, Hoseoks POV}

"What did you say?" Jungkook asked as he scooped some more ice cream into his mouth. "I blanked out for a second, I'm sorry."

"I said that Taehyung leaves the house a lot and doesn't come back for hours," I ran a hand through my hair and I look at the tv screen we were sitting in front of. "I plan on following him the next time he goes out... I don't trust him."

"I would be careful about doing that, Hoseok," he said and he looked at me with a concerned look on his face. "I've done that before and I got shot in the chest."

"Listen, I understand that things like that happen, but he was my friend, he should take things a little softer on me... Right?"

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know," he said and he ate some more ice cream. "I find it weird that the cops didn't call us with anything... Maybe were being crazy with our evidence."

"I believe what you said about him, there's something up, he's so sneaky now and he's denying everything but I know its him, I have that gut feeling telling me that its him." I sighed and I look at the TV once again.

"Are we crazy? Are we sure Jimin's even real?" Jungkook asked. "Cause he's too perfect to be a human being."

"I'm going to get a cavity," I said and I sit back. "I'm going to follow him when I get the chance, it will leave me to something, won't it?" I tap my foot lightly and I look back at Jungkook. "I'll be extra careful, I promise you and I will be aware of my surroundings and I'll let you know what I see on my journeys."

"Okay, I want a thousand word essay," Jungkook said and he let out a slight chuckle. "If you go, let me go with you, I know how to use a gun."

"Yeah.." I trail off and I place my hands on my lap. "The more I learn about you, the more concerned I become, but now I'm also kind of getting use to it."

He chuckled and suddenly, all the lights in the house went out, everything went pitch black and I could no longer see anything around me.

"What the fuck?" Jungkook whispered and he turned on his phone, turning on the flashlight.

"Maybe its a black out?" I suggest and I watch him get up and walk towards the window.

"Lock the doors," Jungkook said and he nodded to the front door. "Something's going on," he said and I felt a bit of fright in my stomach.

"O-okay," I said and I turned on my phones flashlight, jogging over to the door. I lock it and I look over at Jungkook, seeing he was pulling the blinds across all the windows frantically. "What's going on, Jungkook?"

"The lights are on in our neighbors house, some ones here," he walked over to me and I jumped as I heard knocking at the door. Jungkook got a knife from the kitchen and he pushed me to stay behind him, holding the knife tightly in his hand.

The knocking got louder and he unlocked the door, pulling it open quickly. No one was standing there, but a paper bag was left on the door step.

Jungkook looked back at me and he jumped slightly when the lights came back on. "What the actual fuck," he said and he picked up the bag, shutting the door behind him. "I've witnessed a lot in my life, but this is a first. He made my lights go out! Taehyung's a demon!"

"Taehyung isn't a demon!" I say and I look at the paper bag in Jungkooks hand.

"How do you know that? I'm making a theory," he said and he looked at the paper bag. "I'm too scared to open it."

"Do it, this may be important," I say and Jungkook walked into the kitchen, placing the knife back in the drawer.

I stood next to him and I watched as he pulled the items out of the paper bag.

"A crosauge and a wedding invitation to me and you," he said and he placed the invitation ontop of the plastic case around the flower. "He did all that for this?" Jungkook chuckled and he picked up the case, tossing it into the garabage. "He thinks he's going to marry him?" He laughs and he picks up the invitation, beginning to tear it up. "I hate him." He mutters and he rubs his hands over his face.

"We need to follow him," I say and I sit up. "He's going crazier than I thought," I bite my lip And I look over at him. "We need to completely get rid of him or he's just going to get worse."

"I promised Jimin I wouldn't kill anymore people," he said and I looked up at him withe wide eyes.

"Anymore?" I ask and I stood up, walking over to the cupboard. I pulled out a knife and I walked over, placing the knife on the table in front of Jungkook. "One more wouldn't hurt, I'll help you cover it up, if not I'll take the blame."

"Hoseok, don't be crazy," he said and he looked at me. "No one will find out if I'm involved." He said and we both looked towards the door quickly as we heard another knock.

Jungkook walked towards the door and I tossed the knife in the sink. I walked over to him and I watched him open the door, seeing officer Seokjin standing there.

"Hello," Jungkook said and Seokjin bowed lightly. "What brings you here?"

"I have some important information to tell you," he lopped his thumbs into the loops of his belt and I looked at him with concern.

"Is everything okay?" I asked and Jungkook suddenly gripped onto my arm.

"I'm not sure," he said and he let out a deep breath. "We ran some tests and I'm sorry that I have to be the one to tell you this... But..." He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.

"Please just say it," Jungkook pleaded and he gripped onto my arm tighter, his eyes already glossing over with tears. "I probably won't like it, but I have the right to know."

Officer Seokjin looked at us with an apologetic look."I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but the blood on the rock... It was Jimin's"
