Crimson Blood

In the modern society where supernatural phenomenons are considered common, humans are divided into three categories:
Practitioner/Magician/Mythical Beings
Practitioners depended on effort.
Magicians depended on talent.
Mythical Beings depend on lineage.
The Crimson Clan had disbanded several years ago and the only one remaining member, Ellis Crimson, lives to this day. How will this supposedly average high school student's life go?

Ellis, a normal high school student, walked by every room in the hallway to check if everyone was asleep. Out of the twenty children in the orphanage, he was the busiest one of them all. As soon as he wakes up the next morning, he is to prepare for the breakfast for nineteen other mouths because everyone agreed that his cooking skills were the best. With a part-time in a bakery after the school is over, he had no time to waste, sleep was the most productive option.

"Good night, everyone," Ellis turned the hallway light. Everything was dark now.

........................................The next morning

"Hey Ellis, wake up!" The same girl who came out to take the breads woke Ellis. She was the most energetic one in the orphanage. Her brown hair would be the first sighting in the morning no matter how early you sleep.

"I got it, Lisa," Ellis woke up from the tired condition. He stood aimlessly and walked to the kitchen for his morning chore. Some could say that he may have looked like a undead in this situation.

The tired student woke early thanks to the continuous support of Lisa. After making the breakfast for twenty people, he went dashing through the street to refrain himself from getting any more tardy at school.

"Flight," Someone casted an advanced level magic nearby.

"!?" A figure of a human collided against me.

"Are you alright?" A panicked girl asked in hurry. She was on top of Ellis, but she didn't seem to realize it.

"I am fine, but you will be late if you don't hurry," Ellis reminded the panicked girl. She left as soon as possible.

Ellis stood up while wiping dust off his one and only school uniform. He ran at his full speed to the school only to find out that he was late by more than a minute. Goddess of luck wasn't on his side after all.

"Ha ha," He could only laugh in depressed tone.

The school that he was attending was one of many institutions made to promote the use of magic. Though private schools have taken more amount of genius level individuals, there are still some in this academy who were on par with the individuals on more professional academy. The fact that Ellis was depressed wasn't because of the fact that he was late, but because of the fact that he may have interacted with one of the high level magician in the school. It would be troublesome for him to mess with them again.

It was only a matter of time before the event broke out.
