Crimson Blood

In the modern society where supernatural phenomenons are considered common, humans are divided into three categories:
Practitioner/Magician/Mythical Beings
Practitioners depended on effort.
Magicians depended on talent.
Mythical Beings depend on lineage.
The Crimson Clan had disbanded several years ago and the only one remaining member, Ellis Crimson, lives to this day. How will this supposedly average high school student's life go?

"Uh..um..." Ellis was petrified at the moment that the black-haired girl mentioned about helping hand.

"Its simple. You are one of the participants in the District Tournament," She answered.

District Tournament was an all-out battle against other schools. Each school was required to sign up seven representatives to participate in the battle. Even if its the district version, the nearby private schools in our districts are previous year's national participants.

"Its impossible! I have twenty people in my orphanage that I need to take care of! I have a part-time at my local bakery that I need to work at! And...." Ellis began his objection.

"I already have researched about your background," She began to spoke.

"You what?" Ellis was again petrified about the background researching.

"Win the tournament, you take the half of the prize," She began to list out the benefits.

"But I am just a intermediate level magician, a normal one. I can't miss bakery because of that," Ellis objected.

"The second benefit is that you will be payed as a tuition student here," Her words made Ellis's ears point out.

"How much?" Ellis glared desperately at her.

"Lend me your ears," She walked next to Ellis.

The amount that she had promised seems to be unrealistic for him to imagine.

"How are you able to do this?" Ellis, who was shocked to here the numbers, questioned her.

"Do you know what my name is?" She replied.

"Its Lena Birmingham," She left shortly afterward.

"Lena Birmingham....Birmingham...Birmingham!" An idea sparked from Ellis's mind.

Birmingham was the owner of the school as well as the head of one of the most prestigious industries in the state. It wouldn't be surprising for them to have authority to do so.

*Ring*

The home room bell had already rang. Ellis's misfortune had yet to stop.
