The devil is and always will be a gentleman.

They say that the eyes are a window to someone’s soul.
But what if they are empty?

Scarlet Waters, a teenager who is being stalked down by her future husband, is slowly noticing everyone around her is dying. Drained of all hope and clueless to her serial killer's wishes, she plays straight into a pair of loving arms.

She falls helplessly in love and begins twisting her morals to be with this man. Everything that she stood for in the past is altering and she is forced to become disturbingly submissive to this beast.

However, you shouldn't fight ten enemies with nine bullets because damaged people are dangerous- they know how to survive.

She has one question for you:
How exactly do you breathe when your kisses are filled with pain?

4. Court

Sarah, Kylie and I were all sent to court for the murder of Isabella Wright.

Kylie and I confirmed our whereabouts with the local people at the club, who claimed to have heard the fight over another woman. However, they also stated that Kylie had disappeared for an hour to look for Isabella, whilst I danced in the corner with a group of strangers.

I was in the clear. This threw Sarah and Kylie under the bus though.

Kylie had a motive and an opportunity. It is the stone, cold truth.

The court, pitying her state, sentenced her to six years in rehab to try and regain some mental and physical wellness. Afterwards, she would serve a following twenty years, no parole, in a state prison.

Sarah was not so lucky.

Despite her injuries which supported the story that she and Isabella were attacked, the jury were not convinced that she could have been knocked out for the length of time she described. Sarah was heavily intoxicated, they declared, and find it amusing how Sarah could recall being knocked out but said she was too drunk to remember anything else. The story just didn’t add up. She got 25 years for third degree murder on top of assault. She would be locked up for thirty three years, no parole.

Both girls got a sentencing due to the evidence against them. I have to admit, Isabella's mother hired a smart solicitor who knew all the right buttons to press with the Jury. However, she didn't fully succeed.

I was still free; I got off with a stern warning. After all, I didn’t do anything wrong…

Or did I?

All through the sentencing, the only thing i could think about is where all of this went wrong. I had managed to lose both my best friends within a week. One for life and another for twenty six years.

I was a cr*p best friend.

Looking back now, i should have defended Kylie. Lied perhaps. Demand that we both went looking for Isabella and we didn't find her so we went home and slept on it. That is the half truth so maybe i wouldn't have gone to hell for lying in a court?

But yet again, i was young and terrified of a court record. Unfortunately, naive, little Scarlet Waters had a massive storm heading in her direction if she thought this was all over.
