Baby Mine

Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla was born to Lana Maria Parrilla and has an unknown father. Lana didn't want to expose her baby to celebrity life so gave lil Addie up for adoption. When Adelaide was one Lana decided to look for her baby and finds Addie just a few weeks before her third birthday. It was difficult at first but a happy ending is at the end of the tunnel

5. The Mall and Mommy's Friends

Lana’s POV

Even after a week of Addie’s antics I still couldn’t seem to get her to listen to me. One day I got a phone call from Sean and another from Rebecca. They wanted to meet my little baby bean. Then after I agreed to let the cast meet her I received a phone call from Eddie and Adam both.

“Great news Lana!”

“You’ve been invited to Brazil. For the Comic Con.”

“Can you tell me my whole schedule for the rest of the year?”

“Brazil, San Diego, Barcelona, Atlanta, Chicago, Liverpool and I might make you pop into Tupelo for a few days.”

“Tupelo Mississippi, a fan from Corinth has pulled great strings to meet you.”

“Do I have any other appearances?”

“St. Jude, Children’s hospital of Pennsylvania and BC children’s hospital.”

“Okay what about Addie?”

“Bring her along”

“She’s two, she’s only two. Soon to be three.”

“Like I said bring her along. Are you coming tonight? Your boyfriend will be there.”

“Yes Eddie I’m coming. Thanks Adam.”

I heard Addie’s screams from upstairs. She was upset, I could distinguish one cry from the other and she was sad. I quickly grabbed her binky from the table, set my phone down and walk upstairs. I find my daughter sitting on her bed wearing her pajamas and holding her teddy bear. One of its ears was missing and stuffing was coming out.

“Addie honey calm down.”

I picked up her teddy bear and saw that the stuffing was falling out and the buttons were missing. I sat down on the bed and the teddy bear nearly left my hand. The teddy bear was my teddy bear, I had told the workers to give it to her when she was adopted. They must’ve given it to her when she was born, the second she left my arms she was holding the bear for dear life.

“Addie where did you get the bear?”

“You…Mrs. Hani gave it to me from you.”

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her onto my lap. I wiped away her tears and rocked my baby in my arms.

“Guess what we’re doing today?”

“Going to see some of my friends.”

“Don’t you want to meet mommy’s boyfriend?”

“What’s that?”

“Mommy’s friend.”

“Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla. We are going to see some of my friends this afternoon and that’s final. You need a bath.”

I picked her up and carried her under my arm and grabbed her a nice dress with a princess on it. I drew her a bath and took off her clothes she squirmed and screamed bloody murder but I finally got her in the bathtub.

“Adelaide you are dirty. You need a bath. Tonight we are going to meet Rebecca, Marcus, Sean, Jen, Colin, Josh and Ginny. Those are Mommy’s friends. Do you want to go to build a bear?”

“What’s that?”

“You get a new toy.”

“You have to eat all of your pancake and drink all your milk.”

“Okay Mommy.”

Addie’s POV

I did it I did what I said I wouldn’t. Mommy’s face lit up after I called her mommy. She looked at me and kissed my cheek. She finished giving me a bath and changed me into a nice princess dress. I helped her put my shoes on and we walked to the stairs for breakfast. She reached for me to pick her up and I carried her down the stairs. I strapped her into her seat and she threw a tantrum.

“Okay Addie behave or we won’t go.”

“I love you Mommy.”

She kissed my head and handed me my Cinderella sippy cup and Aurora plate.

“That won’t work you little shit. Eat your food, I’m going to change.”

I stuffed a couple bites of pancake into my mouth and Mommy came back in wearing a white shirt and sunglasses. She wore red shoes and blue jeans. She washed my plate and lifted me out of my booster seat.

“You ready baby?”

“Yes Mommy.”

She kissed me again and grabbed my bag with snacks and drinks. She buckled me into my car seat and pulled the car out of the driveway.

“You’re lucky I love you. I sold my Camaro to by this Ford Focus.”

“Mommy music!”

“What do you want to listen too?”

Mommy turned the radio on and my favorite song came through the loud things.

“Addie you’re silly.”

“Are we there?”

“Yes we are.”

Mommy parked the car and got me out. She set me on the ground and let me walk. We walked into the store and big people where running around. Mommy picked me up and let me pick out a stuffed animal. I picked out the Evil Queen, which made Mommy smile.

“Good girl.”

The lady let me pick out a heart I picked purple. She then handed me my baby and Mommy gave her another dress on top of the one she already wore. The lady handed me my baby and calmly asked.

“What’s her name?”

“Addie what are you going to name your baby?”

“So her name is Sarah, take good care of Sarah.”

Mommy handed me my baby and picked me up into her arms. I hold my baby and lay down on her shoulder. It’s been a week and I still miss Lizzie but I’m so glad she came to get me.

“Mommy, can I go home?”

“Where is your home Adelaide?”

“With you.”

“Are you hungry?”

Mommy puts me down and we walk to a big place of food in the big mall. She kneels down and hands me a pair of sunglasses.

“Why glasses?”

“Mommy’s famous and she doesn’t want anyone recognizing me because of you.”

“Do you want Chicken, pizza or hamburger?”

“Burger! Fries! Root beer!”

“That’s my little girl.”

We walked up to the lady and she smiled when she saw us. Mommy took off her sunglasses and looked at the menu.

“I’ll have two cheeseburgers, plain. Two small orders of fries and two small root beers.”

“You’re Lana Parrilla aren’t you!”

“Who is this?”

“I’m Addie, her baby.”

Mommy handed the lady some money while she handed us our food. She carried me on one hip and we sat down. She let me sit and I began eating. She began eating her fries and I tried to bite into my burger. I couldn’t take a bite so I started being fussy.

“Adelaide, stop yelling.”

“Adelaide Elizabeth.”

“Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla. You were fine just a second ago, eat your food.”

Mommy finished her food and threw the trash away. She picked me up and I began hitting her. I hit her face and she just glared at me. I gave her the stink eye. She carried me out of the mall and into the car. She buckled me in and climbed into her seat. I held onto my baby and asked.

“Music Mama!”

“No! Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla, don’t you ever do that again.”

“Yes mama.”

She kept driving. She glanced at me in the mirror a couple times and I just sat in my seat and pretended to be upset. I had done it this time; she was taking me back to the orphanage.

Lana’s POV

Adelaide had done it this time. I had put up with her for a week and she had to be punished. I understood she had entered her terrible two’s but I didn’t expect her to be this bad. I’m sure she was thinking I would take her home to the orphanage. I looked at her in the mirror and spoke.

“When we get home you are taking a nap.”

“Adelaide you really upset me. I’m disappointed. You are taking a nap and then I’m going to get you ready for the meet and greet with my friends.”

I pulled into the driveway and got Addie out of the car seat. She had managed to fall asleep. Sure she was a little shit but I loved her and couldn’t possibly imagine how I managed to create a tiny human like her. She was my salvation and she was my flashlight, if anything happened to her I would be beside myself with grief. I carried her to her room and laid her on the bed. I wish I could’ve heard her first words, seen her first steps and potty train her but in two years you miss a lot.

A few hours later I changed into a red leather dress and curl my hair, I put on my black eye shadow and red lipstick. I carry my apple purse and watch her sleep. I check my watch and realize it was about time to go. I didn’t want to wake her up but she had a play date with my friends. The person who was most excited to meet her was my boyfriend Sean. I place my apple purse on her dresser and carefully select her purple and pink dress from the closet. I take out her white shoes and her purple bow. I’m sure she’s going to want her binky because we’re going to have a late night.

I get all her clothes ready; I even get her a fresh pair of underwear. She sleeps peacefully with her new baby Sarah in her arms. Her doll looks just like me. She sleeps and sucks her thumb. I stroke her hair and gently shake her. I whisper.

“Adelaide, it’s time to wake up. Come on Addie, we’re going to play.”

“Addie come on, Mommy will let you on her phone if you wake up.”

Addie opens one brown eye and then the other. She stares at me and rolls over in bed. She pulls the blanket up over her head and I giggle. I pick her up from the bed and she starts trying to get away, she sucks on her thumb. I carry her to the potty and she uses it. She stares at me and turns away. Her face looks sad.

“Addie what’s wrong?”

“Tummy hurts.”

“Do you want some yummy medicine?”

“It’ll make your tummy feel better before the party.”

“Okay Mommy.”

I go over to the medicine cabinet and pull out a bottle of medicine. I pour it into a cup and hand it to her. She drinks it all and wipes. She gets off the potty and I help her wash her hands. She then wiggles down and walks into her bedroom. She pulls off her other clothes and I help her put on her dress. I help her put on her shoes and put the bow into her hair. I put her on my hip and grab my apple purse.

“It’s going to be a while baby so you can take a nap in the car.”

“Ok Mommy.”

She puts her binky into her mouth and lays her head on my shoulder. I knew she didn’t feel good but she needed to meet my friends. Sean had a surprise for me and I wanted my Addie there with her mommy.
