Baby Mine

Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla was born to Lana Maria Parrilla and has an unknown father. Lana didn't want to expose her baby to celebrity life so gave lil Addie up for adoption. When Adelaide was one Lana decided to look for her baby and finds Addie just a few weeks before her third birthday. It was difficult at first but a happy ending is at the end of the tunnel

8. Sick Baby

Addie’s POV
I ran towards the playground and didn’t know what to do. I was two years old and my mommy just let me run off. I turned around and found that she was watching me from her book. I ran back over to her and pulled on her arm.

“What is is baby?”

“Come play with me.”

“Oh okay.”

Mommy put her book down and grabbed the bag. I pulled her to the swings and she put the bag on the ground. She picked me up and put me in the swing. She began pushing me and I giggled. I watched Mommy and she had a huge smile on her face. I giggled and then said.

“Mommy stop. My tummy hurts.”

Mommy’s smile turned to a frown and she stopped the swing. I threw up all over the ground and began crying. Mommy grabbed my bag and picked me up. She carried me to the car and buckled in.

“It’s okay baby. Mommy’s gonna take you to the doctor.”

“Yes you’ll feel better.”

“No not doctor.”

“Yes baby. Yes doctor.”

“No mama no doctor.”

Mommy shut the car door and climbed into her seat. She started the car and drove away from the park. Suddenly I realized I didn’t have Sarah or my binky. I tried looking for it in my chair but I couldn’t find it. I began whining.

“What is it baby?”

“Where’s binky? Where’s Sarah?”

Mommy kept driving but began digging around in her purse. She handed me my binky and then dug Sarah out of my snack and juice bag. I popped my binky in my mouth and hugged Sarah tight. Mommy turned some music on as she pulled into more traffic. I loved living in Canada with my mommy. Mommy took a couple turns and drove fast for a few minutes. Finally she shot into the parking lot of a huge building. She parked the car, got out and pulled me out. I held onto her as tight as I could as she walked into the doctor’s office. We stopped in front of a window and a lady opened the window.

“Please sign in here. I need her name, her date of birth and your name.”

“Adelaide Elizabeth Parrilla. Born May 13th 2017. I’m Lana Parrilla.”

“Lana Parrilla! Do you mind signing this for my daughter?”

“Of course not. Here you go dear!”

“What seems to be the matter with your daughter?”

“She’s had tummy trouble for a couple days and tomorrow I have to go shoot and episode. I have to shoot one on her birthday and then we’re going to Brazil.”

“Oh okay, calm down. We’ll get her back there as soon as possible.”

Mommy and I walked into the children’s waiting room and there were baby dolls in a bin. She sat me down on her lap and put her head on my shoulder. I giggled as she began tickling me.

“Stop Mommy!”

“Do you want to play with the dollies?”

“No my tummy hurts.”

“I’m sorry baby.”

Mommy bounced me up and down on her knee until a lady with red hair and a man with a black beard came in. It was Bex. I immediately reached for her.

“Addie! Lana! What are you doing here?”

“Addie’s sick and I suspect you’re getting an ultrasound.”

“No just finished. It’s a girl. Her name is going to be Elizabeth Maria.”

“I know. I love you so much I’m naming my daughter after you and your mum.”

Soon Bex and Marc left and Mommy kept holding me. Jen and Colin came in to leave next.

“Addie. Lana.”

“So you and Bex had a joint appointment?”

“Bex was here? Is Addie sick?”

“I sickie.”

Jennifer kissed me and then whispered something in Colin’s ear. Colin beamed and then told Mommy and me a secret.

“It’s a boy. His name is Liam David.”

“That’s wonderful. Is Ginny and Josh here by any chance?”

“No they took Oliver and Hugo to set. We’re shooting your and Robin’s wedding tomorrow.”

Hearing that I remembered last night. I fought my way out of Mommy’s arms and ran across the room. I plopped myself into a corner and stared at the floor tiles. My birthday was in three days and I would be going back to the orphanage. I hated my Mommy. I wish I hadn’t been born. I felt two arms pick me up and hoist me onto her hip. It was Mommy. We sat down in a chair and had a lil chat.

“Addie, what are you so upset about?”

“You marry Sean and leave me.”

“No I will never leave you. You are my daughter. Don’t you want a daddy?”

“Who’s my daddy?”

“No Mommy my real daddy?”

“I’ll tell you when you’re older.”

Finally the nurse came in to take us up to our room. I attached myself to Mommy’s hip and she carried me away. We walked down a long hallway and finally into a room with a lot of weird things. Mommy put me down to stand on some scales.

“Good she weighs 30 pounds.”

Mommy smiled and I knew that me weighing thirty pounds was good. I was nearly three anyway. I sat on Mommy’s lap and the nurse took my temperature. She then took my blood pressure.

“She has a bit of fever but her blood pressure is perfect for her size and height.”

“Oh that’s wonderful. Her tummy’s been hurting for a couple days. I gave her some medicine but today she threw up at the park.”

“Where was she two to three weeks ago?”

“She was in the orphanage. I gave her up when she was born and had been searching for her over a year. I finally have my baby back.”

“That’s wonderful. She could have the stomach virus.”

“We’re going to Brazil this weekend, is she old enough?”
“Yes just pack specially prepared water and other drinks for her.”

“I know I’ve been to Brazil.”

They checked my throat, they checked my ears and they checked my heartbeat all while Mommy held me in her arms. They made me pee in a cup and they wanted to draw blood but I didn’t want too.

“Please Addie.”

“It’s fine Ms. Parrilla we’ll just swap her throat and her nose.”

They stuck something down my throat and I threw up again. They stuck a tip up my nose. They then let Mommy and I sit for a couple minutes. My head hurt. I laid my head on Mommy’s shoulder and closed my eyes for a few moments. When I opened them the lady had returned and she was talking to Mommy.

“She has the stomach virus. The best thing to do is giving her liquids and keeps her out of the heat. When you shoot tomorrow keep her inside your trailer.”

“Oh okay. Are you ready to go home Addie?”

Mommy sat me down and stood up. She pulled her pants up and then picked me up and walked out of the office. We went down numerous halls and finally reached the car. Mommy put me into the car and buckled my seat belt. She got into her seat and began driving.

“Do you want to go to the store and pick out a birthday present or do you want to go home and sleep?”

“Birthday present then bath, then sleep.”

“Okay lil bean. I love you.”

“I love you too Mommy.”
