“I got you some provisions in for you. I hope you don’t mind because I didn’t know what you liked to eat but the cupboards are well stocked and you can come over to ours tonight for dinner after you’ve all had a kip first. “I guess you are all tired after your long flight.’

“Yes we are; I think we all need a bath I think as well.’

“Jackie had a shower installed to save water; you will be using them quite a lot until you all become acclimatised.’

“I didn’t expect it to be as hot as this.’

“Just wait until you’ve been here a while then you will say that it’s not that warm.’

For now though I would advise that you all wear shorts and light shirts. If you have flip flops try to wear those as your feet sweat like hell here.’

“Yes I know, my feet are soaking.’ I hope that they don’t smell too bad I’ve had them on two days.’

“No worries mate, I’ve smelt worse I can tell you.’

Mick took a left turn and up a dirt track then they saw a house and a paddock with stables and a large barn.

“There she is; that’s your house.’

“Look at the size of the place Jenifer it’s as big as a castle. The place looked like one of those New England houses in America that they’d seen on the television with white and grey paint work.

“I was thinking it was going to look like the ponderosa; you know like in Bonanza the cowboy western.’

“Yes,’ we get that programme out here.’

“That’s good, do you get a lot of English programmes?’

“Well Bonanza is American but we do get English programmes like “The Benny Bill Show” here.’

Mick showed them his house which was just as big as the barn on their place. It was nice with a grey tiled roof and painted white. It had a portico where there was a Marini motor bike and a boat on a trailer.’

Mick carried on past his house then dropped them all off at the house. He handed them the keys and told them he’d see them all later.

“Thanks Mick, see you later.’

Matty looked at Jenifer as they looked at the sheer size of the house which made their house look like toilet in comparison.

They walked inside and Mick was right it was beautiful, all the furniture was of the best quality. The floors all had grey slated tiles. The oak beams and polished oak stair rail with white spindles gave the place the look of Peyton place. Tom ran up the stairs to check out the bedrooms with Irene and Carol. The smallest room was forty feet wide. It had built in wardrobe space and it had an oak table and chairs. The bed was king size the floors were all polished wood.

“I’m bagging this room said Tom as he jumped onto the bed and put a pillow behind his head.’ Irene and Carol checked out their rooms as Jenifer and Matty looked in their room. It was huge and it could have had space to fit all five of them inside it.

The bathroom was the same. The bath that they saw was twice as big as there’s back home and the shower room was as big as their whole bathroom. There was a toilet separate from the bathroom as well as one in the bathroom and another downstairs. Which meant if anyone was having a shower they could use the other toilet.
