1. Zoe POV: Chapter 1

I’ve always been the play it safe girl. I don’t drink, do drugs, or even go to parties. I’m always the goody two shoes who has never done a bad thing in her life. Falling in love was the last thing I expected to happen to me. The worse thing about it was that he was my older brother’s best friend, Kyle Mori. Kyle was three whole years older than me, he probably just see me as his best friend kid sister. I’m still in my senior year in high school and it’s already his second year in college. The age gap between us was too much.

I feel the wind brush lightly across my skin as I ride my bike back home. Ever since spring started, I refused to have my Dad pick me up from school. Not that I hated cars, but because I loved the noisy traffic, the humid air, and most of all the wind brushing through my hair.

“Hey, you in the baseball cap!” I hear someone call, so I stop my bike. When I turn around, I see a group of guys walking my way. They looked around my age, but I’m sure I’ve never seen them around school before.

“Me?” I ask when I didn’t recognize any of the six of them.

“Yeah, what’s your name?” The tall one in the middle asks before suddenly taking off my hat. I glare at him.

“Give it back.” I demand. I wouldn’t care if the hat was actually mine, but it wasn’t. It was Kyle’s, he’d given it to me during my freshman year in highschool.

“Don’t worry I’ll get you a better one.” He brush it off while his buddies laugh along with him.

“I don’t want a better one. I want that one, so give it back.” I try to reach for it, but he holds it up higher. Why the hell did all the tall genes go to my brother?

“I’ll give it back to you if you tell me your name and  number.” The guy actually dare to ask for my name and number after stealing my hat.

And right when I’m about to say something back, I hear a car honk and stops in front of us. The windows roll down and I see my older brother Seth and next to him was the one and only, Kyle Mori.

“What’s going on?” Seth ask.

“None of your business, so fuck off.” The tall dude barks and his buddies backs him up.

And already I could tell that they were going to regret ever speaking to me after this.
