My Stolen Kiss

"Can you like someone just because you were told they like you?" He turned to look at me.

"Why? Is that bad?" I said looking at him as well. "I've been giving love for years and I'm tired! I'm tired of it not getting appreciated or returned! It's all good if you marry Stacey and completely forget about me!" He let go of the umbrella and placed his hands on my shoulders. My breath hindered as droplets of rain poured onto my head, slowly but steadily washing my tears away. In comparison to the clouds teardrops, mine where burning each inch of my skin. Allowing me to completely break down, with every shard left of my emotions.

"You like me!" He said shaking my shoulders. "You can't like anyone else except me." A frown was growing onto his face, completely contrasting with his feared stained eyes, showing that he was scared to break me or lose the last sane piece of me.

Chapter 8

Kaitlin has finally met Luke the son of Thomas.

When Luke gave me the glare an awkward silence grew upon us.

"You are all tired, right? Come over here." Said Mrs. Louis gesturing to the living room. My father, Thomas and Mrs. Louis all went ahead to the living room. While I stayed and looked at Luke, he was glaring at me while he went up the stairs.

"Excuse Me!" I said walking to the living room to accompany my father.

The living room was pretty spacious making room for two large couches and two single couches. My father and I sat on a large couch, Mr. Louis sat on a single couch and Mrs. Louis sat on a large couch. Mrs. Louis had prepared tea and cake for us. I gladly accepted her kind gesture of the cake and tea. She looked at me and said.

"Go ahead! I'm glad you like it. Take some more."

"Thank you." I said

"Kaitlin, you've grown up very much." Said Mr. Louis. I made a puzzled face.

"Have I ever met you before?" I asked while covering my mouth.

"I saw you at the restaurant when you were a baby." He said to me.

"You've been to my dad's restaurant?" I asked. My dad interrupted by saying.

"Of course, we are hometown best friends." He said looking at me." Ever since we were in kindergarten."

"Since both my parents worked, I often went to Jason's house to have dinner." Said Mr. Louis to me. "When I was in college. I was a poor student, so Jason used to invite me." He said while nodding. "I'm indebted to Jason."

"What are you talking about? It was you who introduced my restaurant to all kinds of people." Said my father to Mr. Louis, he then started to list some examples. "Your college classmates, business partners, there are tons of people who still visit me." He said. "I'm here thanks to your effort."

"After having each one's family and job we might have become a little distant." said Mr. Louis, then sighed. "I was surprised when I saw the news." He said looking at my father. "Well it was sudden, but I'm glad I get to see you again like this."

"That's right." Said Mrs. Louis but she brought her attention back to me. "Kaitlin, please make yourself at home." I smiled.

"Yes, Thank you." I said to her.

"It seems we have a special connection with you." With that I was confused again. The front door opened up. But no one noticed it. But once the door closed Mrs. Louis noticed and said.

"Speaking of the devil, my elder boy is back." I would have looked but instead I asked myself. ' Elder boy?' and grabbed another piece of the Marble cake. When the boy walked into the living room. I looked up and saw a towering body in front of me, I yelled.

"What's wrong Kaitlin?" Asked my father.

"She's really powerful." Said Mr. Louis. I stood up from my seat and looked at him.

"Sorry for being late. I'm Nick." The elder boy said this to mostly my father. "Nice to meet you." No matter what he was doing at the moment I was still staring.

"I knew it!" Said Nick's mother. "I heard Nick and Kaitlin went to the same school."

"Is that so?" Asked my dad, he also got up from his seat. "Nice to meet you." He said to Nick.

Now Nick, Nick's mom, my dad and I were standing up. "Kaitlin, go ahead and greet him." He said to me but I still was in shock.

"What's wrong Kaitlin?" My father asked this snapped me out of the hallucination stage.

"Well I was a bit shocked, Mr. Louis and Nick don't look alike at all." My dad slapped my head and said.

"You are being rude!" This made Mr. Louis laugh.

"It's alright. My sons look alike their mom, they were lucky." He said while laughing his butt off.

"My gosh..... Nick, sit down." said Nick's mom pulling him to the large couch which she was sitting on. I was still staring at him.
