All in a moment is about a young queen named Evie and her journey back to the home of her childhood. As she sits on the bed she slowly vanishes and sees life before her birth, her father's death and her mother's death. Evie finds her mother's favorite book, necklace and portrait.

1. Back to the Past

How does a moment last forever?

How can a story never die?

It is love we must hold on too

Never easy but we try

Sometimes our happiness is captured

Somehow our time and place stand still

Love lives on inside our hearts and always will

The wooden cradle with the crescent moon carved into the wood in the corner, stood empty. The hearth made of pebbles from the river held no fire. The small black cauldron that once held hot soup now held cold soup. A double wide wooden bed covered in three woolen blankets warmed no body. The painting that contained a happy mother, a happy father and a happy little baby was broken and lying on the floor. The wooden door to the tiny shack was wide open as the black carriage stopped. The black horses neighed as the black guards stopped the horses from running away.

A shoe of blue glass stepped down onto the black step. A simple dark red dress of velvet came next and finally a whole woman. She wore the velvet red dress that the sleeves covered her delicate white hands. Her hair was black with a single white strand and it stopped at her waist. On her head she wore a simple silver circlet. The guard came off his seat and two more guards pulled up on horses. They all wore black armor. The lady looked at the hut with her bright blue eyes and smiled. A guard spoke as the lady walked into the shack and looked around. She picked up the portrait and shed a single tear. The hut was just the same as it had been all those years ago. Her mother’s soup still was in the pot. The soup had to be at least fifteen years old.

“All due respect your majesty but why are we here?”

“This is the home I was raised in. These four walls are where my beautiful mother laid down her life to save mine. This is where the evil queen ran to redeem herself.”

“Would you like a moment?”

“Yes please Henry. We shall return to the castle in a few hours.”

The guard left and Evie ventured around the room. She sat down on her mother’s bed and stared at the portrait. Evie’s beautiful mother and her handsome father holding their little daughter, the heir to the Enchanted throne. Evie had become queen after her mother died. Evie’s father died when she was only a few months old. Regina Mills raised little Evie without help and without the brave and noble Robin Hood.
