Meeting You

A story about how I think love works

3. The Longest Night

Sara could've sworn that her and Daniel texted for at least a few hours, but when she looked at the clock and read six thirty she couldn't believe it. Had it really only been two hours? They texted about all kinds of things, from Harry Potter to her perfect date. Turns out, she didn't really know a lot about Daniel, but she wanted to know so much more...

That night she fell into a dream... Daniel was in her room, his hands in her hair, his eyes met hers and for the first time he said the words that she had longed for him to say: "I love you so much." It felt as if she was safe. Almost as if she had found the perfect one for her. Daniel closed his eyes and leaned in close, he gently placed his lips on hers. She gave in to him, she let him take complete control. Her hands were in his hair and she was wrapped in his arms so tight, but it didn't bother her. She kissed him back slowly and softly, and as she did, she felt more and more drawn to him. He drew her closer, and set her on his lap. As they held each other, they couldn't help laughing, he held her face gently in his hands and she did the same. This was what they wanted, but would it really come true?

Sara woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. She picked out the cutest outfit she could find, and told herself she was beautiful, because she was. On the bus, all she could think about was the dream she had. "Would it actually happen? Or will it breakdown?" she pondered to herself. First period came, Erin met her at her locker as usual. "I saw you and Daniel the other day." she teased. "Yeah, so what?" Sara replied. "Are you two like a thing now?" she asked curiously. "I don't know." Sara said. Erin winked at her and took her seat. And with that, the day began.
