[Another small time skip, brought to you by Uta and his fabulous hair band]

"Levi?! What are you doing here? This is a crime scene! You know you're not supposed to---"

I sighed, glancing around the room, blood splatters on the white walls, on the floor, and a body. I grimaced, "I know, I know Erwin. But I-" I looked up at the larger man, who gave a frown, which turned into a scowl as Juzo came skipping through the door, a grin plastered on his face.

"Hiya Erwin~!" Juzo flashed a smile his way, and Erwin's brow furrowed.

"Get out." He said sternly, no joking tone was found in his voice, but Juzo didn't budge... Therefore I didn't either.

"Levi needed a team for murder investigations, right?" Juzo tilted his head and Erwin gave a confused face. "We got him a team." Juzo stated before adding, "We can solve this case with or without you~!"

Erwin practically growled at the petite boy, "A team?! I don't see any team, you little-"

A body came falling through the far window with a small thump, crouching down and looking up at us with an amused face. I recognised the blonde straight away, it was Uta. "Sorry, are we late?" He asked politely before holding a hand out of the window, and pulling Itori into the room. Wait a second... This was the third floor.

"How did you-" I began, but was interrupted as Nishio's voice came from behind.

"Yo. I come bearing equipment--" He halted, "and Ayato." He smirked and put a hand on his hip in a nonchalant manner as Ayato joined the small party, with a small and obnoxious sounding laugh.

"Criminals." Erwin stated, his face slightly dumbfounded, "You've hired... criminals?!" He almost laughed at me until he saw my serious face, "You've got to be kidding..." His face fell even more and he shouted. "Levi! These are criminals!"

"Actually," Uta waved his left hand around in a knowing manner, "we dropped out of that business a while ago." He nodded, turning to a distracted Juzo. "Didn't we Juu?"

Juzo nodded slightly, and I watched him for a moment. He wasn't really paying attention, he was crouched down, his eyes scanning the room in a way that I only assumed he would be memorising the patterns of blood... Or remembering the exact dimensions of the body a little in front of him.

"Besides," Uta shot a grin directly at Erwin, "This all seems far more fun."

The door swung open on it's hinges and I didn't have time to register who had come through the doorway... Before she was on top of me, crushing me in a hug with a squeal.

"Levi!! It's been ages! How've you been?!" The all-too-familiar brunette let go of me, allowing me a breath, her ponytail swinging as she notched up her glasses a little.

"I've been just fine actually," I muttered, looking away from the ecstatic scientist. "I'm guessing you're as excitable as usual, hm shitty-glasses?" The edge of my lips curled into a small smirk.

Hanji was one of the scientists on Erwin's side, she was kind of crazy... But she knew how to do her job, and she did it well. I couldn't argue with that. "Of course!" She smiled, "Ah! Erwin! I did the fingerprints. There's no doubt about it, you were right, it was our little Nico---And that kitchen knife also... Not very well hidden for a murder weapon." She laughed in triumph, but was cut off by Juzo.

"...A kitchen knife?" Juzo's brow furrows and he shakes his head. "That's not possible-"

"And who are you?" Hanji snaps, raising an eyebrow quite comically at the small boy crouched on the floor.

"That's Levi's boyfriend," Erwin states with a sigh before anyone else has the chance, Hanji's jaw practically hits the floor and I roll my eyes.

"It's not that big a deal Hanji, stop---"

"You're going out with---And he's going out with---But you're so different!" Hanji's gaze flickered to Juzo, and then back to me, and then back again in some sort of amazement. "Wow okay, I didn't expect that." She turned to Juzo with a puzzled expression. "How old are you?"

"Nineteen." Juzo stated with a grin.

"--Okay that's fine, he good in bed?---" Hanji jabbed a thumb in my direction and a choked on air as Juzo went to answer.

"Enough, that's enough." I groaned, waving my hands in a half kind of panic. "Back to the case, the case Juzo."

"Oh right! The case! Yes! The murder weapon can't be a kitchen knife, It has to be something heavier--- An axe? The blow hit here," He gestured to an area of the room, "a blow to the shoulder, a blow to the middle." He made some crude hand gestures and all eyes turned to him. "and then BAM!" He shouted, knocking us all into surprise. "Dead body." He gestured to the body.

I blinked and glanced awkwardly at Erwin, who just frowned back. "Kid, unless you can prove it... Then we can't do anything based on this belief..." He muttered an apology, "We should think on this more, get an autopsy, y'know?" Erwin nodded once, "Right, everybody out." He shooed us all out of the building and down the stairs hurriedly.

I sighed, "Well we tried...?" I turned to my small crew with a shrug. Ayato rolled his eyes.

"We can't give up, that easily. I mean come on---"

I looked around at the few standing in front of me, all of them looking slightly baffled and annoyed, half bored, wanting to solve a case.

I grinned, knowing that somehow Juzo had rubbed off on me as I purred, "Who said we'd given up~?"
