Crimson Liberty

Having a second chance to live means having the chance to destroy the balance of society.

And having this phenomenon happened to Lucrylia, she was abducted and tossed into the other side of the society wherein the others who are resurrected fight each other for the pleasure and the competition of 'miracle'.

But nobody knew what 'miracle' she possessed that had turned her as the 'weakest' and most powerful.

Death is everywhere once you claim second life once more.

2. Project E - One

Chapter one: Earth of the New Island

If there's something reliable I could use, I'd probably follow my mother's advise: stay calm and use the time to see the future.

So that's what I did.

I closed my eyes and composed myself, running my mind to what will happen after a minute of calculation. And as I've seen it, two people will jump out over the left side corner, using pyrokenesis above us for expecting intimidation. Then the other one would make use of her knife to slay the one nearest to her.

Panic will accommodate the atmosphere as the other Omegian-- whom they call it-- will appear in the other side and capture everyone around.

I opened my eyes and gasped. In taking the information within me as I waited.

Patience Lucrylia...

Patience...

My heart pounded strongly as my sweat ran down. Within this very day, we should consider ourselves in the terminal of death and just delaying the remaining time we spent.

I silently cursed when the time has finally ended. The two individuals came out as predicted and the man would produce the fire to his palm and caused a great fire above us. The people were surprised and remained frozen in place as they looked up. The woman had pulled out her knife and confidently walked towards the man looking up who was near her.

I began to feel my heart pounded stronger. She rose the knife over her head and was about to take the man's life but I quickly halt the time again. Everything stopped in place and I took the time to dash towards the woman to snatch the knife she was gripping tightly before I stepped back and allowed the time to move again.

When she stabbed the man, she was surprised by my presence beside her when I pushed her aside. She didn't fell but she remained staring as if she saw a ghost facing her.

Then the future struck me. She will bring out another knife and my hand swiftly grab hold of her wrist. She will kick but before her attempt, I had it dodged with the use of my other feet.

I held both her hands tightly and before our fight continued I warned my colleagues whom I spent a minute of deportation with. "Be on guard, other people will come out and capture you within this second!" I shouted.

The woman seemed annoyed over my prediction that I saw what she was about to do next... She will struck me with fire. I waited for milliseconds before she was to do her plan and that was when I saw the fire coming. Again I paused the time and moved behind her resuming the time when she struck the flames.

Again she was in disbelief. At the same time the people started to spring up the mountain of garbage again. Men were ready to fight by then.

The woman had herself busy with trying to catch me. Maybe she thought the same thing as my mother when she saw my ability...

My mother used to say that I disappear and suddenly appear somewhere. Maybe because they don't know that I can stop time, predict the future and foresee the past, they would think that my ability is teleportation.

The man joined the woman in trying to get me. But with my future sights, I predict what they would do in the future. Both possesses the miracle of fire and they kept striking at me randomly.

But surprising enough, I felt something hit the back of my neck. It made me lose some air as I knelt down and started coughing and soon a feet of a man was in front of me.

Why didn't I see that?

My sight had turned blurry  as I fell on the ground. The last thing I saw was a hand that was about to grab me.

I lost...

Darkness had my sight conquered...

***
I felt a cold splash of water soaked my face that made me coughed out in surprise when I woke up.

I slowly opened my eyes to find myself leaning my back on the wall side as I saw a guy standing beside me holding a glass in his right hand and a pitcher of water in his left, looking down at me coldly.

I automatically sprung away from him a meters away trying to predict his soon to do, but to my prediction he would just remain standing.

"Who are you?" I asked trying to be calm.

"A young Omegian..." He said looking down at me. "How old are you?"

"I'm the first one who asked!" I said back, trying to make my tone intimidating as I could.

He simply stared before pouring some water down on the glass he was holding and reached it towards my direction. "You can fight me all you want later, but I suggest that you should at least take something in."

I gave out a confused expression. "Why are you being nice? Aren't you suppose to treat a prisoner in your cowardly torture? Wait, why am I not in your lousy prison?" I asked.

"Aren't you going to shut up and drink?" He asked impatiently that suddenly chilled my spine as I unconsciously followed him in fear. I quickly took the glass and drank giving him a glare and finished all its content, giving it back to him as I stepped away.

"Now, are you going to speak nonsense still? Or are you going to at least be productive for a change?" He asked.

"What?!" His sharp tongue had took on a nerve to me that I couldn't even be polite.

He hissed and mumbled out loudly. "Deaf." He sighed and tossed the glass and pitcher away as he grab me-- he was actually dragging me-- out of the room.

I tried struggling but his grip was tight enough for me to surrender and just accept that his hand was made to break a bone effortlessly.

"You are to face the initiation. Either you will be recruited or you die on the loser's list. Pick your choice." He said.

"Can it be none of the above." I asked sarcastically feeling annoyed over the fact that he was stronger. But I was more concerned about the person who managed to put me to sleep in the middle of the fight.

"Whether you like it or not, you don't have a choice. Your option is given." He said.

We were passing by the wrecked buildings on the street. I roamed my eyes around and saw how everything is rather like a dead city. It was so different than of the city in my previous home. There was no such thing as project in it. just a normal town out on the streets.

But now, my sight was roaming and imagining disaster and chaos. I didn't want to see it using my miracle but instead, I kept the curiosity.

The more we walked through, the more people we came by to pass. They were men who acted barbaric sitting on top of a broken wall. Few were women who seemed to admire the man who was dragging me straight way.

It has been minutes since we I was being dragged until we entered another wrecked building. But this one has a stairway going down. He let me go now and continued to walk down while I took my time to decide whether to follow him or not. But seeing those barbaric looking Omegians, I suddenly felt cringy and followed behind him.

The stairs wasn't that long to have a hard time with. For how many steps I already saw the light of fire illuminating the stairs where we walk. I could hear shouts and cheer inside of that place, until the real cause had occurred to me. This underground was a square of fights. A fight of two bloody men still holding on to their breath. Already weaken by time and effort.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"These men doesn't ring a bell?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Look at them closely."

So I did. I stared at the men taking over the ring and to my surprise, they were the temporary colleagues I've had this morning.

"So I guess you remember." He said. "Next will be your fight."

"M-my fight?!" I exclaimed.

"You'll have to kill your enemy or else the fight won't dictate a winner."

"I-I can't kill!"

"Then simple outcome... Let yourself die."

"I saw your fight so I bet on you as your recruiter. Now don't do me shame, kid. Your miracle is interesting." He said at the same time, the fight ended and one managed to live.

After cleaning the ring, the man pushed me forward and made me climbed up the ring. I tried to complain but he kept on giving the same idea with different kinds of sentences.

"Oh come on. I can't kill." I said trying to pass through him. But his strength was monsterous that I was the one being held back.

"Listen, if you will not fight, you will die."

"But I'm already dead." I complained.

"You're not dead, you were resurrected... If you won't save your second life now, what's the use of being given the second chance?" He asked.

I still struggled back. "I already said I can't kill!" I protested.

But he pushed me inside the square and grip my shoulder tightly. "Keep your bloodlust up. You will never seek freedom if you're a soft bone. Our life depends on your win. Now, go there and live." He said seriously, making me turn back to him as he gave a slight push.

"'Our life'? What do you mean by that?" I asked in bewilderment.

"If you die, I'll get executed. Simple." He replied less interestedly about it.

"But if I won?"

"Our life will be spared and we'll be treated as a member. Fair and square." He said.

"But--"

"Urgh... Can't you see your opponent's up, honey." He said that made me looked fort and saw a woman infront of me. A glare darted to my being like a stab of knife. I sight I couldn't bare to see if ever I'm at school back then because it causes sure chaos.
