Sunlight streamed through my windows and I was bathed in its warmth. The little birdies sang a merry tune and kindly asked me to open my eyes so I wouldn’t miss out on this perfect day. Today I was to be married to the kind and noble King Robin Hood of Sherwood Forrest. I knew Robin and I would be equally pleased with each other and the setting couldn’t be more perfect. My wedding dress was made of silk and had a white tulle material over it. In the tulle material were tiny little pearls. My sleeves were elbow length and the edges had little pearls stitched into them. My veil was a layer upon layers of Belgian lace with even more little pearls. My favorite part of my wedding attire was my glass slippers. My perfect little glass slippers to make the wedding even more magnificent and on top of it all I was at last allowed to wear Mother’s diamond tiara upon my copper curls.

12. Regina's Wedding and Zelena's Song

-I took her up into my arms and walked back out to Robin. He no longer sat in his seat and his wine glass was empty. I heard Regina’s voice from the other room and my heart broke when I heard what she said.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN? YOU MEAN TO TELL ME HE’D RATHER HAVE MY SISTER? I can’t believe he would do such a thing on our wedding day! OH never mined! He’s waiting for me to come down; he wants to marry me as soon as he can. How soon can the wedding start? ZELENA TIME FOR ME TO MARRY ROBIN DEAREST!”

I gathered Emerald into my arms and stepped out of my chambers. My crown towered high above my little sister. Her wedding veil shielded her brown hair and her makeup highlighted her brown eyes. I was jealous but then I remembered Robin was marrying her for the sake of our two countries. He wouldn’t marry her unless I told him he could and that’s what I did. Robin my soul mate and the father of my daughter and heir; I couldn’t help but smirk as I walked down the hall behind Regina. We walked down the aisle and Emerald squirmed in my arms. She began to whimper. I kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear.

“It’s okay baby, everything will be all right. Shush shush, Mommy has you in her arms. Don’t cry baby you’ll upset daddy and stepmommy. You don’t want to do that do you?”

Emerald dried up her tears and the procession down the aisle went smoothly. The wedding went quite well until I almost melted when the vows were exchanged. I didn’t care if it was an act I felt betrayed.

“Do you Princess Regina take His Royal Majesty King Robin of Enchantria and Sherwood to be your lawfully wedded husband and king?”

“Robin, ever since the first day I met you I have been deeply in love. I always knew that after you married my sister that you would come back for me after you knocked her up. I know that we are meant for each other and our children will rule your kingdom one day. Our daughter or firstborn son will rule both kingdoms one day. I promise that Emerald Rose and Zelena will be in the past after a night with me.”

Regina smirked at me and I wanted to slap her across the face. Emerald began whining once again so I snapped out of my trance and began to soothe her again. I love her so much, she was my daughter and I loved her more than life itself. I loved Robin and I wasn’t prepared for what he said next. That next moment showed me that Robin really loved me.

“Do you King Robin take Princess Regina to be your lawfully wedded wife and queen?”

“Regina I loved you the first day I met you but this union is loveless and it’s only for the sake of my kingdom that I do this. I loved you once and I still love you but not like that. Emerald Rose will be the next queen and you will remain Duchess Regina for as long as you live. This is a sacred union but know this Zelena is my wife and she is my soul mate. I can live without you but I can’t live without her.”

I smiled and cried, Emerald began to giggle and the kingdom clapped. Regina’s eyes streamed and I felt so bad for her. I signaled for the priest to continue and watched as Regina and Robin shared a forced kiss. I signaled again and walked up to where they stood.

 -----------------------------------------Zelena's Song---------------------------------------

“Robin and Regina, I love you both and I’m glad my sister married my husband. My best friend wrote this for me and sang it to me on my eighth birthday eleven years ago, almost twelve. I vowed that day I would sing it at her wedding even if she married my husband. Regina you are welcome to our kingdom and I’m sure Robin will make you feel at home. I learned to love him and he learned to love me. I am sure you can do the same.

On the day we arrive on this planet.

The world smiles with grace.

The earth rejoices to have you along.

On the day I first met you

I was instantly in love.

I couldn’t believe that you were mine.

We grew to love each other

With every single ounce of blood

We learned to be together

Even when we were far apart.

I learned to love you

And I hope that you

Will do the same.

I learned to miss you

When you were far away.

And today I just want to say.

I love you with every drop of my blood.

I love you dear sister

I love you,

My little sister is here

With me and I love you

I will love you

Till the seas run dry.

Love you till the wind stops blowing.

Love you till the rivers flow backwards.

When the sun rises in the west

And sets in the east

That is when I will stop loving you.

I love you Regina”

Regina smiled with absolute joy and Robin smiled back at her. They shared a kiss and even though he was my husband it felt good to have my sister back in my life. Her new niece and stepdaughter needed her incase something were to happen to me. I had my daughter and my husband in good hands. I followed the newlyweds with Emerald Rose in my arms. She was asleep and her skin was glowing a soft pink. I checked her arm and sighed. The cuff that I had placed on her the day she was born remained intact. Regina and Robin sliced their wedding cake, shared a kiss and danced their first dance as a newly married couple. They danced while I held Emerald Rose and ate from my silver throne. The evening was great, I didn’t get asked to dance but oh well my husband was dancing with his wife and both of them seemed so happy to be in each other’s company. That song was truly magical.
