34. The Lord (14)

"Why would you?" I asked with a malicious tone.

"He betrayed us, didn't he?" he replied.

"I already knew that I will be killed if they found out," the nameless boy spoke.

"The reason that I did this was to pay off my debt and to support my family to get human like meals."

"In our country, it is extremely difficult for us to even see the light of another day."

"We are at stake of civil war that might be happening at any time."

"It is normal for us to skip a meal or two and not be able to live in a house."

"I was told that my ability was useful as I am able to transfer them to others."

"I was shocked to hear that there was already many people who had similiar ability as me who were able to transfer abilities and such."

"I resisted at first but I was notified that everyone, including my family and my friends, will be in grave trouble if I had gone over their policies."

"Was that the reason why you reduced the amount of poison and applied bit of antidote in weapons that you used to attack others?" I asked.

"Yes, it was the only way to fake the deadly attack while making sure that they were able to live, though their ability may have been stolen," he replied.

"I don't care if I die right now, but please change this world for me."

"You are strong, aren't you?"

"If it is you, then I might be able to trust another human."

His pulse revealed that he was dead. He, who had spoken clearly to us few minutes before, was dead right in front of our eyes.

"YOU!" General Hordes for enraged by this situation.

It was later that we found out that the seventy percent policy was used to donate on improving the lives of many poor citizens in the country and the attacks on his own comrades was used to secretly punish those who were a former prisoners responsible for murders and such.

"Useless!" One of the Thirteen Commanders made a simple gesture that seemed to have transported swords at unreasonable speed.

<Level Nine - Teleportation>

"Thank you for forgiving us," Hordes spoke.

"No one has ever been kind to us but you."

He had died from excessive blood loss.

"The last one is you! Rebel!"

I slowly raised up from my position and glanced sharply at the person who had murdered both of them.

"I have a eye that is able to see whether a person is sinful or not," I spoke.

"These two that you killed may have committed many fraud and betrayals but they haven't killed anyone."

"It was a excuse for them to make them retire earlier and they even gave them some compensations."

I held onto the envelope that the nameless boy handed to me before he had passed away. The envelope was filled with enough many to pay the sibling's debt off. It seems that the reason they lured Reina was to unite them together and give this to them. The antagonistic action were to give them examples of tough situations that they might have to experience in the future. In other words, they were trying to give them valuable lessons to live in this society.

"Your entire body is covered with thoughts of sinful actions and your dark history that I can not ignore!"

"Prepare for your ending, sinner!" I shouted.
