Outlier: Restart

To be honest with you all, the original series had abundance of unrelated information as well as large plot holes that ruined the series. Too much narration, unbalanced strength, and lack of proper setting establishment also played major role in ruining the entertainment. Therefore! Behold! The New series, Outlier: Restart, shall rectify the old standard!

37. Chapter 2: Epilogue

It was one of the coldest day on the history when a group of assassins had began their hunt. One would think that the old man might be the target, but it was actually the baby that he was carrying that they had business with.

"You are already too old to run away from us," one of the assassins shouted.

"Just make this easy for both of us."

"I refuse!" The old man, with skinny, rather bony, figure who seems to have starved several days, with no weapons or even slightest bit of resistance to go against them still refused to let go of the child.

"What is he to you anyway?" the assassins asked.

"You might not know what you are doing right now but this child is important to me and everyone else that had been supported by him. I can't let our savior killed again and again!" The old man resisted desperately but still didn't let go of the child.

"How respectful," the person who seems to be the leader of the group spoke out.

"To what degree will you protect this child?" He asked.

"If my life is enough, then so be it," the old man replied.

"Lets have a deal, shall we?" The leader gave a serious expression at him.

On the snowiest day of the December, the old man, who seems to be at his seventies, drew out his last breathe.

"Thank you..." He spoke with hints of hope within his word.

"I will keep quiet about the child, but you won't be able to survive the attack anyway," the group of assassins left.

"Leader, why did you not complete the mission? It is easy steal after that old guy is dead, right?" one of his subordinate spoke with a greedy tone.

The leader slightly punched him right on his face with a furious tone.

"That person didn't have slightest hesitation or regret when we made the deal, lay off on this matter, will you?"

"Although you have died more than twenty times because of our incompetence, please survive your twenty-first chance," the old man coughed blood and died soon after because of the blood loss.

The corpse soon disappeared along with the pool of blood that surrounded the area with abundance. The only thing that was left in this area was the child alone in the snowy street. A tall man took him away with a pity in his eyes soon after. Although the tall man left with the basket where the child resided, he didn't realize that he had dropped a letter that was once placed firmly on the basket.

It said, "May you survive this time".
