Love and death and war and Gods and blood and magic and dancing and rest and revenge and kings and fate.
Don't worry, within these three stories you'll know yourself,
And I will put you back together again.

83. This Line Grows Thin

But Gomez did die.  As did Cinis, and Dyrad, and Eros, and Appalla.  Mortals and Gods found themselves lost again.  This isn’t new, but their story meant something, that’s more than many can say.

Jinmi and Daphne fell in love again.  As did Ichais and Estha, and Pandia and Samhain.  That is how life is, I suppose, and I’d like to think that their ties will keep together, even if I have to hold them so.

And Chene found a home, as did Samhain, as did Celene, as did Estha, as did Favi.  They were alone, yes, but they had somewhere now, somewhere where they could be free.

We are cruel beasts, my sisters and I, but we do what we must, and we let those love who can.  Without that, there would be nothing worth living for.

We do what we have to, and here is where the fates have no say.

In the land ruled by Philotes, where we stood aside.

I have one more chapter, and after that there is nothing I can tell you. But please, do not blame life for what you make of yourself.  Don’t blame your life for your death, your love, yours home - that is not me.  It was you all along.

This is a story about choice, and their story was fit for you.
