Love's Perfect Imperfections- Beauty And The Beast Competition Entry

"... Still, that's the point of love; you love someone despite their flaws."
-Sophie Kinsella

But Ms. Emerson doesn't realize that there is no such thing as a perfect relationship- a perfect person. Through her journey, she realizes that there is no flawless relationship. I dance to a waltz in my head as I scrub the round coffee tables. A date, that's what it'll be. I was so lovestruck when I arrived at the coffee shop that I didn't even bother to wipe the raindrops off of my spectacles.  That is, until Mademoiselle Brown told me to clean them off. I watch the clock that hangs over the door tick until it hits 6:00 PM. "Mademoiselle Brown," I wave across the room. "My shift's over," I say. She waves me out.

The humid air of a post-rainfall hits me quickly when I go outside. Walking down the sidewalk, I think about Benjamin. Should I call him Ben? I have so many questions for this mysterious soulmate. I wonder who he really is.

I squeeze my hand, chastising myself. Have patience, Eliza.

Once I reach my apartment room, I kick off my boots and collapse onto my bed. Maybe I'll just skip dinner tonight, I think. As I ponder the idea, my eyelids grow heavy.

It's been a long day...
