Adoring Theodore

A BoyxBoy story- teen love.

3. Canvases

Theodore talked the entire ten minutes.
His favourite colour- black. The colour he's scared of- black. The colour he hates- none. Favourite artist- Halsey, Aquilo and  Troye Sivan. Favourite food- fish sandwich made by his mom. Favourite book- All the bright places by Jennifer Niven. And many other stuff which Alec managed to forget.

When they both were outside the school, Theodore skipped forward, excited, while Alec walked deliberately slow. This was the first time he was accompanied by anyone to school. His sister, worrying about her 'image' and 'reputation' and all the other bullcrap, never went to school with him. Instead, she took the SUV while Alec walked his way.

"Hey, what's up? You seem off." Theodore said as he put and arm on Alec's shoulder. He thought he noticed the guy stiffen a bit under his arm, he shrugged it away.
"It's nothing. Really." Alec said tugging the corners of his lips upwards.
"Now that I'm your friend, you can tell me anything, you know that, right?"

Alec thought about the question Theodore asked. Friend? Alec had a friend? He quickly nodded when he saw the other boy feeling uneasy.
"Let's get you your schedule?" Alec asked.

They both checked their schedules and confirmed that they had P.E. , arts, algebra II, history and biology together. Their first class was arts so they both headed there and tool their sits. The topic was 'draw as you like'.

Theodore kept stealing glances at Alec while he drew, who had his full attention on the canvas in front of him. For the first time Theodore noticed that Alec had his ears pierced as well along with his nose. The brown curls fell on his right eye and Theodore tried his best not to get up and brush them away.
Alec's eyebrows were knotted together in concentration. He bit his full, lower lip as he looked Theodore in the eye.
They both stared at each other for a bit longer than normal friends do.

Theodore was the first one to look away. He felt his cheeks heat up. The next time he looked at the direction towards Alec, he saw a smirk on the boy's lips.
Theodore didn't even try hiding the grin in his face.

The teacher announced that the time was up and started looking at the pupils work. Theodore got up from his stool and walked towards where Alec sat. The canvas was in front of him so Alec probably didn't see Theodore walking towards him, so when He finally was beside him, he looked a bit shocked, embarrassed even with his cheeks going pink.
Confusion flooded Theodore's mind, but when he looked at the painting in front of him, he couldn't stop smiling.
In front of him was an oil painting of a boy in a red sweater and dark blue skinny jeans. His arms were spread out, his was face tilted upwards as rain water hit it. The eyes were closed and there was a smile on his lips which pretty much similar to the one on Theodore's lips.
" Wanna check out my drawing?" Theodore asked, looking at his sneakers. They certainly seemed really interesting at the moment.

Alec looked at the painting with awe. The painting Theodore drew was of him sitting on the stool he was sitting a moment ago. His curls fell on his right eye, his eyebrows knitted together. His piercings were drawn carefully.
He didn't know what to say. At that moment he was probably looking girlish or whatever because of the tears flowing down his cheeks but, he didn't care.

Theodore was shocked when Alec gave him the bone crushing hug. Not that he minded (although he could barely breathe)
"Hey, it's okay. It's okay. Calm down."
Alec seemed to realise that he was crushing Theodore so he quickly jumped back, almost two hands away.

Alec started, violently, rubbing his tears away. "I'm so sorry I got emotional. Actual no one ever did anything like this for..." Alec started but before he could finish his pathetic speech, he was engulfed by a hug from Theodore. "Shhh, it's okay. You don't have to explain anything."
Alec didn't freak out, instead he hugged Theodore back before pulling off.
They both smiled each which reassured each other that things were really okay.
