 They crossed the road past a newsagents and a local pub then right on the corner next to a Jewellery store was the pie shop. Billy looked in the window; he saw the young girl who had served him the last time. He found out her name was Gillian because she had a badge with her name on it.

They went inside and the bell on the door rang to alert Gillian of customers.

“Aye we’ve just been to see a mate of ours.’

“Is he banged up then?’

“How did you know Gillian?’

“Well we get a lot of visitors from Newcastle coming to see the inmates at Hull Prison.’

“What time do you get off?’

“Well I finish at five o’clock, why?’

“Well how about coming out wi me tonight.’

“No,’ I mean here in Hull.’

“Look give us four of your nice pies and I will have a walk around the shops for a bit then come back for you about six o’clock what do you say?’
