Color Full

In a world where color cannot be seen until one makes eye contact with their soulmate, Joey Graceffa dyes his hair different colors, even though he cannot see them. He trusts his hairdresser who has found their soulmate, to choose the color. He hopes when he meets his soulmate they like his hair.
Daniel Preda likes his hair.

11. Hazel and Purple

After lunch, Dan beckons for Joey to follow him.

"Where are we going?"

"To talk to that girl, Dodie," Dan explains.

They round a corner and see the girl from yesterday holding hands with a boy. They're looking at each other lovingly.

"Hello!" Dan says cheerily.

Dodie turns to them, smiling. "Hello, Dan, who's your friend?"

"His name is Joey. Who's your friend?"

Dodie giggles, blushing gray.

"Well, this is Jon, (Jon Cozart, not Jon Walker) and he's more than just a friend, he's my soulmate."

Joey smiles through the envy.

"Wow, so cool. We have a few questions for you," Dan says.

"Ask away, I still have five minutes before class."

"What color are your eyes?"

"My eyes? They're hazel."

"What's hazel?" Dan asks.

"Hazel is a mix between green and brown."

"So, envy and poop?"

This makes both Dodie and Jon laugh.

"Sure, something like that. I'm sure you'll be able to see it eventually. What about you, Joey, do you have any questions?"

The lilac-haired boy looks around, unsure of what to ask. His eyes suddenly land on Dodie's lace fringed dress.

"What color is your dress?"

"My dress? Purple."

"What does purple look like?"

"Like your hair, but darker."

"That sounds stunning."

Dodie smiles.

"It is."

Oh, how Joey longs to see the color purple.
