5. FAQ

1. What is the VIP list and how do you get on it?

a. The VIP list is a list of people who request 5 or more graphics from me. Getting on is simple: If you request (and use) 5 graphics from me :)

2. What are the benefits of being on the VIP list?

a. There are lots of benefits!

i. You get bumped to the top of the Queue

ii. You get the opportunity to request GIF covers (New!)

iii. You get the opportunity to request story ads to be made from your cover (like the one below)

iv. You get one extra redo! After all, third time's the charm!

3. What are the differences in the cover types?

a. There are typically 3 kinds of covers (manip, simple, and minimal).

i. Simple covers: Basic, typically not with a lot of layers, see the example Probably Poetry

ii. Manip covers: Manipulated images, typically pretty elaborate, see the examples for Insanity's Wish, and the cover for this store!

iii. Minimal covers: very simplistic, typically with one solid background cover, and one image (usually an item or a silhouette). The best example I have for this kind of cover is my cover for Heroes of None

4. What type of book cover is your favorite/do you do best?

a. The two kinds of covers I specialize in are manip and minimalistic. Simple covers are, for some reason, the hardest for me, but I can do a simple cover if the request is clear enough about what they want. If I get a more general request, I usually default to either manip of minimal based on the info I have.

5. When will my cover be ready?

a. Unfortunately, as a senior in college, I don't have as much time to fill cover requests as I used to. As such, I've upped my wait to up to 3 weeks from the time of acceptance. I know that this is quite long, and I really wish I could complete requests faster like I used to, however, between being a full-time student and job hunting, I don't have a lot of free time. I love making covers (in fact, I really want to get a job in book design) and that is why I'm keeping my store open instead of closing up shop. Since my wait is so long, I understand wanting to find someone to design something faster, and as such, I am open to accepting requests who have also been sent to other cover artists.
