Stable boy

Sylva is alone in the world. She lives in a manor with her mom but still her mom wants her to live on high society. She can't, not with having to marry Hash in a year or with her love of horses. Then she meets Jane. A girl hiding in her stables, together they start on a journey to freedom.

11. 11

I blink my eyes open with dry crust on them.

“You slept well!” exclaimed shara from next to me.

I reached my hand over and waped her.

Shara giggled high pitch and ripped the sheets off of me.

I jumped up.

“Mistress she’s up!” exclaimed Shara towards the doorway with laughter still in her voice.

I shoot a look at her, like what the heck.

“Dear what did you do yesterday that wore you down so much?” asked mother worriedly.  Her brow had wrinkles lines in it.

If I told her about Hash then it could end.  Or I would have a gard and then, there would be no way to sneak off to the horses.  I loved them enough to define my mom, I loved her.  Even if I did do everything in my abilities to tick her off sometimes.  How was my passion for the horses so much more powerful?

“We just had a long ride,” I lied.

“Ok glad to hear you were not sick,” she said.

Then mom kissed me on the forehead and left.

I was not so sure that I had been well that day though.

Shara came back in and saw my expression.  I showed faciles so bluntly.

She reached up and felt my forehead and announced to me alone, “don’t worry you're fine”.

“Thanks,” I said hugging her.
