7. Chapter 5

Up here", Samuel drags me up the stairs to the very last row at the top of the theatre. "Samuel, im afraid of heights", I whisper. "You can't have lame seats at a 3D movie", he laughs. I face palm myself and follow him to the middle of the row.

Now that Zayden left I have 2 red slushies and an extra popcorn with enough butter and salt to give you high cholesterol. While Samuel snuck in with 4 cans of sardines and a can of tomato juice. We sit and watch the movie occasionally Samuel picks at my popcorn and laughs at the parts that aren't funny. He obviously knows nothing about the meaning behind the word "quiet" so I rested the bags of popcorn on the armrest seperating us, preventing my hand from slapping the back of his neck.

The rows of applause upset Samuel when he realizes that the movie is over so I quickly rush out of the movie theatre and tell him goodbye. I decide not to text Zayden because he makes a big deal out of nothing. I'll text him when I get home, if I can get home with Samuel as my shadow. I quickly hop into my car and drive away carefully rushing home. I just want to get out of this crappy outfit that isn't my wetsuit and change into my pjs then hug my pillow until I fall asleep.

I walk into my house and throw my keys on the table then rush upstairs into my room. "How'd it go?", My mom watches me plop myself on my bed. "Ughh", I groan. "Want to talk?", she sits beside me. "Zayden ditched once he found out I told Samuel about my father, Samuel is a total 2 year old, the popcorn was too buttery and the slushies taste like flavored water", I change into my pjs. "Well, you didn't tell Zayden about your dad until like this year so I can see why he's mad", she simply says. "Ugh...I just want to go to sleep", my voice is muffled with my face buried in my pillow.

~Zaydens' Point of View~

I sit in my car thinking about how I blew Bails off. Yeah, she's my bestfriend and I wouldn't ever leave her alone with some goof named Samuel. Obviously she trusts him enough to tell him all this stuff about his dad. I can't even think straight enough to drive right head is spinning around in semi incomplete circles. Am I jealous? Nah. Bailey is my bestfriend, she's always been for seven years now. Let me drive away from this movie theatre, I can't think straight knowing she's in there possibly having a good time.
