17. Chapter 15

2 weeks later

•Bailey's POV•

"You sure you ready to do this?", mom asks me before loading the last box into the truck. "To late to turn back now right", I sigh before pushing the boxes to make room for the furniture. "Oh don't do that", she stares at me before closing the trunk to the truck. "Yes mom, I'm fine..I promise", I say. "Thank you", she helps me out of the truck and pecks my forehead. "Matte pink lipstick on my forehead", I look at her. "Matte pink stain..there's a color", she smiles. "Ooo efficient", I smile. "Trendy", she hops onto the drivers seat as I hop onto the passenger side and we drive off to this new house.

"Mom", I look at her. "Yes?", She relaxed on hand on 12 and her other on the radio. "So are you guys gonna share beds or?", I laugh at how awkward this conversation had just gotten. "Who?", she raises her eyebrows shuffling through the radio. "You and David", I ask not sure who else there would be. "Hmm..I'm not sure", she finds a station and continues driving. "Does this mean you guys are back together then?", I grab a stick of gum from her glove compartment. "We were never broken up, we had a long distance, lost, speechless relationship", she smiles. I don't believe any of this..she's had a "long distance relationship" to someone she hadn't spoken to in what twelve years. "It's gonna be fine..really", she looks at me before we go into the neighborhood. "Yeah", I unbuckle my seat belt. It just feels weird to me. All I've ever had was my mom, it's always been us through everything. Now we all of a sudden are moving in with this man and his kid,my dad and my siblings. "Now you get along with Sierra, Ernesto, Madison and ofcourse guys have always been close when you were younger. Keep it together", she says before turning off the engine.

"What about Mason and Theo?", I look at her. "Those aren't my kids...probably Davids but Sierra was my last one before your dad left", she says calmly opening the car door. "Wait what", I stay in the car. "If Theo and Mason are four and eight and your father and I haven't spoken in eleven years, how would I have had 2 kids...with him especially", she opens the trunk.
